Things you want to see.

Lois and Clark need to have chemistry and their relationship/rivalry needs to be funny.

I would like to see the reaction of the people of Metropolis to the first appearance of Superman. It would be cool if Metropolitans were made important characters in the story a la Gothamites in TDK.
I second this.

Since we re talking about flying and landings, i loved how Superman landed on the K island with all his force, causing cracks to it. Ironman landed in an equally badass way in Afganistan. Its the "i am here to kick your ass" type of landing.

The only thing i'd change in Superman's case is have his eyes flare up red, which is something he often does in the comics when he's angry.
At first I liked the way he landed on the New Krypton island, but later came to feel that it looked... not so great. In my opinion, his stance was awkward, and the moment could have been played for much more excitement and drama, but was instead given a kind of so-so treatment... as with so much else in the film.

totally agree we need to see good chemistry and good rivalry with lois and clark in the film. definately want to see reporting play into the story of the film. As for flying definately agree they should have real actors on wires most of the time and only use cgi to enhance the scenes and to fill in blue/green screen and all that.

Lex-Corp, Star Labs, and a superfight such as the likes of has never been seen before.

For the First act of the film I would like for it to be all bright, cheery, and hopeful.
Let it show scenes of Superman doing his usual saves/stopping robberies etc.
The news show his routine heroics so much that the public hardly takes notice anymore. Then Brainiac arrives, and the tone goes from bright and cheery to dark and depressing as the world's computers fall under his control.

Exactly- with the budget a Superman movie deserves ( I know they gave it to Singer, but he squandered it on shots that could easily have been done with a green screen and live actors...)

Then add a gnarly space showdown and your set!

totally they need to use the budget wisely, and use special effects were it is needed to either enhance a scene, or if its far to dangerous for the actors. plus with the picture being more studio controlled this time. i doubt money being wasted will happen this time.

Superman Returns has already done something similar to this, but one of my favorite panels of Superman is from Red Son.

This is what I essentially love about the character. That not only will he save you from incredible disaster, he'll also save your child's balloon from floating away. It just hits you right in the heart. I'd like to see more of this in the film.

I would like to see him struggle a little bit with the fact that he can hear everyone screaming for help, but can't be everywhere at once, and sometimes needs to decide who lives and who dies, and let him wonder whether or not he should even be playing god like that?

exactly..does he save the elderly couple trapped in a collapsed building, or the young couple trapped in their car thats surrounded by fire.
I want to see the villain put him in that position, and then to see the villain pay for it later on when superman is standing before him with smoking red eyes.

He won't kill the villain. :awesome:

Now that does not mean anything about no pain or suffering to the villain. :hehe:

Heat visions off villain's limbs, turning him into bob oblong. :wow:

Lol. i'm picturing Brainiac, or at the very least his drones, as robotic. Blast an arm off here, a leg there.:hoboj:

Here is what I want to see...

1. Excellent Lois and Clark Relationship (you can screw EVERYTHING else up, but this has to be right)

2. Superman needs to punch something.

3. Superman needs to be conflicted over being Superman and what he can actually do to help the world...

That's really all I need to see.

That would be awesome.

Having Superman destroy his drones, kind of like this:

I would like to see less Superman = Jesus allegories. It was a neat idea for a while but I rather see Supes as a superhero rather than a psudeo religious figure.

I would also like to see a Krypton that is made up of more than huge crystal structures.

Kryptonite also needs to be re-established as Supes major weakness. How Singer managed to fail at this major aspect of Superman I will never know.

yea getting a guy like brainaic or doomsday would give us a chance to superman pull out all the stops with his powers.

AGREED that never really did anything for me.

I see him way more as a modern Hercules, than a Jesus like figure.

Can I get an AMEN??

Exactly. Jesus was sent to earth by his father to die for our sins. Superman was sent to earth by his father because his planet was about to explode.

Both are great stories but Jor-El's motives were a lot more selfish than God's.

I hope in this film, supes ending up on Earth is just random.. Maybe Jor-el programs the ship to land on the first planet that has the right type of atmosphere and a similar type of life to Krypton's.

Or an even crazier idea, have Jor-el never intending for Kal-el to go to Earth..Maybe Jor-el intended for the ship to land on another planet entirely, but a collision with an asteroid or comet throws it off course.

I'd be fine with that scenario. As long as they don't make it sound like Jor-El was intentionally trying to do earth a favor by sending his son.

Superman isnt Jesus. We all know who Jesus really is.
