Things your Parents never taught you - but should have

My parents never had 'the sex talk' with me.

My father never taught me how to shave. I taught myself.

I went to college having no idea I'm suppose to tip the pizza delivery boy. To this day I still wonder if I'm doing it right

No one ever told me that I was supposed to tip until high school, so sometimes it slips my mind when I'm ordering delivery.

Y'know that's another one my folks didn't teach me either, they didn't eat out much and moved to a place where you'd wait a ridiculously long time if you want your pizza delivered.

In restaurants, if the service is good, I tip 10% (which I read in a book somewhere). Standard fee I give for delivery is one or two dollars (and I have no idea if that's right or not).

How much do you tip a prostitute if they already haven't stolen your wallet and left the hotel room?

Some pizza places in my area include the tip in their price.

And that's when you withhold the tip and/or order from somewhere else.

Bampf do yourself a favour, don't read my response... :fhm:

She should already have gotten the whole tip ;)

Proper etiquette for a sit down restaurant is 15%.

You are both correct... I've actually been tipping the same amount as the Tax which is 14% (so I'm a little on the low side, but only because they recently dropped the tax by 1%)

Sometimes buying in bulk ends up being more expensive. Don't believe me, consider, if you buy in bulk and half the stuff expires before you use it... did you save money? Or look carefully at the price of Lindor chocoaltes, here in Canada, if you buy a 4 3packs vs 1 12pack you will save money.

I refuse to tip people who make me smoothies and roll ice cream flavors together, both of which takes less than one minute to do.

Does that make me an *******?

Wait... are you supposed to?

I tip when it's warranted, and I tip well. I also mostly tip delivery people, since they usually have to pay for their own gas, although if they're asses or if there's a delivery charge, I'll lessen or withhold the tip.

What a "seam ripper" is and all the different things you can use one for.
My sewing machine came with one, but I had no idea what it was until my older sister showed me just before Hallowe'en.

Once I saw how well it got rid of the seam in clothing I realized I needed another one to cut all the long red hair that had wrapped itself around the roller of my vaccuum. It worked wonders. (I didn't want to use the one that goes with the sewing machine because I want that to remain packed away with the sewing machine.)

How to tie my shoe laces. Well, they did teach me later on, but not when they should have.
