So today at work I watched the black and white silent film Call of Cthulhu by the HPLHS and finished listening to the Audiobook Shadows over Innsmouth.

They were both really good.

I also finished Season 1 of Rick and Morty again. That wasn't as good.

It was the BBC version. Richard Coil did the reading.

I found it interesting that the story could just as easily be that the main character had some sort of psychotic break and the townspeople are just trying to stop him from hurting himself.

I mean he shows up and from what people see, goes drinking with the town drunk, freaks out after heading to bed at the local inn and goes tearing through the woods after breaking down some doors and jumping out a window.

That was the thought going through my head as I listened to it and I thought it was pretty funny when it ended with him passing out in the bushes.

movies like harry potter, star wars, etc ... just let yourself get lost in the world/universe of them and enjoy them for what they are. I've never really understood the deep criticisms of some movies... it's like people expect to go into a movie about magic and be wowed with some Godfather oscar contender.

movies like harry potter, star wars, etc ... just let yourself get lost in the world/universe of them and enjoy them for what they are. I've never really understood the deep criticisms of some movies... it's like people expect to go into a movie about magic and be wowed with some Godfather oscar contender.

We got oscar winning story and performances about the Mafia, so why not have the same with magic?
