This Means War for McG

The concept behind this movie looks really terrible. If this movie ended like Dwight and Andy's feud in "The Office" where both Hardy and Pine realize Renee's character is a horrible person at the end, that might be interesting. This movie only way this movie will work is through the charisma of the great actors in it.

I can't see this, because Chelsea Handler is in it, who is the #1 killer of comedy.
Also, I obviously see this going the route of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels:
Reese is an agent spying on both of them.
Pass.

Just a little warning: people thought the last McG movie looked good. And that didn't turn out so well.

I miss the Reese Witherspoon that can do good movies.

Or Chelsea Handler.

To be honest, this movie is more or less the ultimate female fantasy disguised as a action comedy. Two hot dudes using every trick in the book to fight over you?

The Script actually leaked a while back. Basically...

Tom Hardy's character, Tuck, is fresh out of a break-up, and still has some feelings for his ex. He is the one that actually has sex with Reese Witherspoon's character, Laura. But she ends up falling for Chris Pine's character, JFK (yup...), and choses to be with him, while Tuck goes back with his ex. Pine and Witherspoon get married, Hardy and his ex move in together.

Then, in the end, JFK reveals that he slept with Tuck's girlfriend on college to event things out.

Now THIS is how you do an action rom-com. Hated the ones since Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but this one DEFINITELY knows what it's doing.

I had expected much worse, especially since it's McG but looks like it's a harmless fun movie judging from the trailer, right up the general audience's alley. It's still not something for me though but watching Pine and Hardy going against each other could be fun.

I laughed at some points. Especially when Hardy shoots Pine with the dart. Could go either way. This could be where McG's strengths are instead of something like TS.

It's kind of like this is what Charlie's Angels could have been had McG toned down the saccherine color scheme and extreme camp.

Looks pretty awesome, Hardy and Pine look like they have great chemistry together.

Reminded me of the running gag in Star Trek, with Bones repeatedly injecting Kirk with inoculations.

Not feeling it at all. They admit in the trailer shes not worth it only to turn around and fight over her? Im also sick of the spy in love with girl and using government resources to woo her movies.

Now if Hardy and Pine were in a serious action movie like say face off trying to kill each other I would bite.

I think some people are being wet blankets. It looks like a fun harmless movie. Hopefully is will be as good as Charlie's Angels.

Yeah, I just said that C.A is a good movie and I mean it.

Not a big fan of McG and I hate Chelsea Handler, but I actually kind of want to see this because I like Pine and Hardy. Looks decent and entertaining.

My big problem with Mr. and Mrs. Smith is that the story besides the interaction with the two stars sucked and there was no resolution to the conflict and the two being hunted by their old organizations.

It's got Hardy and Pine, so of course I'll see it. And yeah, it looks like fun.

Who are you and what have you done with ISS? :cmad: :woot:

The only real issue I have with is is that it seems like they showed a little too much.

Besides McG and Chelsea Handler, I like Tom Hardy, but he might be miscast because I mean . . . in the trailer with his regular look and accent he looks like a bit of a thug not really a top spy, government CIA agent. I mean I guess it's good he looks different from Pine's character, but he looks a little *too* grungy if you know what I mean. Plus his accent even though he can do an American accent pretty well.
