Enter RAY STEVENSON. STEVENSON will be for the Punisher what BALE was for Batman.

OK so I just found out this is going to be a reboot right? This is ****ing ridiculous, the movie came out in '04 so there's no ****ing reason to reboot the series.

It's not like with the hulk where the original sucks so hard you just need to start over. There's no damn excuse for this.

It definitely SUCKED but I doubt they can repair the onscreen reputation of F. Castle. A Punisher movie should be a Rambo movie except w/ "Marvel films" on the front. How difficult is this?

This reboot is necessary. '04 sucked HARD. It's also a sequel combo, so it's not there not retelling the orgin with a faithful adaptation of YEAR ONE or anything. Though I wouldn't mind that either.

I completely agree with this comment and all sentiments with equal regards for the 04 remake. Hearing about Jane being gone and this being a reboot is all I needed to hear to be excited about this movie. There are enough killer movies and shows I just hope this Punisher movie wants to break some new ground. To some degree I get that feeling ex: Super Psychos vs. A Force of Pure Death. If they maintain that The Punisher = powerful efficient death as the core of this movie and that doing good is just a bonus.

I think if they just build other clever themes around this force of nature to keep the momentum vibrant throughout the production(i.e. the real interpretation of the "Welcome Back Frank" not that '04 crap) then well have a hit on our hands. Not that spider-man hit(i hope so though) but Crank level or if we lucky Saw's level of success.

Lets say, will this movie be better than the 89 Punisher movie, cause thats the best Punisher movie and its still not very good. But as far as the script looks its the best script so far to me than the other two. So there is hope in my opinion.
