Sorry if this was a topic already but does anyone know what happened to the Thor animated movie at Lions Gate they give you a sneak peak of it on the HULK VS DVD. but outside of that i havent heard anything and now all i see is stuff for Planet Hulk as if they bypassed Thor altogether. any info on this would be appreciated:bomb:

Its release was delayed to 2011 to coincide with the live action Thor movie

^ man, so does marvel have any other animated movie comming out soon?

I'm so afraid for the "young Thor" movie. I loved Son of Asgard, which it's based on, but I think Chris Yost, Craig Kyle, and Lionsgate have no idea whatsoever how to do Thor justice based on the Ultimate Avengers and Hulk vs. Thor movies. :csad:

yea it does look like marvel doesnt know what to really do with these dtv of theirs compared to wb/dc's dtv slates. I would like to see them maybe base some dtv's off of some successful story from said characters. Like kraven last stand for spider-man, maybe a civil war dtv, etc.....

Technically, they already are. Ultimate Avengers was obviously based on The Ultimates to some extent, the upcoming Thor movie is based on Son of Asgard, etc.

well yea i am just saying i dont want to see stuff like hero squad or next avengers as the only things coming out for marvel in the dtv market. I would love a nice pg 13 spidey film, maybe a fantastic four film, maybe a full xmen team one,etc.....;

I really like the idea of a PG-13 Civil War direct to video release!

Since Marvel is getting into entertainment for younger audiences now with Superhero Squad, I would love to see some children's DTV movies. A Pet Avengers movie would be super-awesome, for example. :hehe:

yea that would be neat, it would be great if marvel and do both at same times, have things catered to the toddler crowd well also pleasing the older teens/adults with pg 13 animated films like dc has been cranking out past two yrs.

I just kinda wish Marvel Animation would get some more people on board, instead of the same guys writing every movie they do.

Yeah, Kyle and Yost have proven they're good with the X-Men but not much else, as far as I'm concerned.

well hopefully they can find some other folks who have a solid track of creds. Take for example like wb/dc using paul dini/bruce timm here and there since STAS/BTAS/JL days for these newer DTV films they are doing. It would be great if marvel animation can find some folks like that.

You know what I'd love? I'd love for Marvel Animation (though preferrably not Yost and Kyle) to do Marvel 1602.

Eh, 1602 was a fun story but I wasn't that big a fan of it. I'm not sure why, but Gaiman's Marvel work overall seems a little lackluster to me.

:cmad:

Loved 1602...

Yes, they are the real thing :yay:.

They look all right. I don't know why Volstagg isn't wearing some purplish/magenta, but whatever.

Not bad. The voices are kind of pathetic, as they were in Hulk vs., but overall it looks okay. Hopefully without the more popular Hulk and X-characters out of it this time, they won't shortchange the Asgardians so much.

I hate the character design, and general over all aesthetic for this movie.
