Thor Animated Movie?

Planet Hulk is the best Marvel animated movie I've seen so far. But that's mostly because it was based on an even better comic story. I'd probably recommend that people simply read the comic rather than watch the movie, to be honest. Pagulayan's art, even without motion, looks a hell of a lot better to me than the animation we got in the movie. The only way I see Marvel's animated movies improving, really, is if Marvel starts to drop some more cash on improving the animation quality.

it would be sweet if marvel is going to do more dtv based off some classic stories/ and all that. Like how dc has sorta already started up doing.

That's debatable. Personally, I thought Hulk vs. was a steaming pile of s*** on every level, not just because Thor got his ass kicked.
What else about Hulk Vs. would you say contributed to it being a "steaming pile of s*** on every level" for you, besides Thor getting his ass kicked in an absurdly disrespectful & quite frankly stupid manner?

The incredible over-exaggeration of the Hulk's power, for one thing. All of Asgard's enemies attack during the Odinsleep and the Asgardians fend them off okay--including huge frost giants whose strength rivals even Thor's in a lot of the comic stories--yet the Hulk casually slaps every Asgardian, including Thor, aside like they're nothing. The boring one-note story didn't help, either. Every single scene is literally just, "Hulk shows up, kicks people's asses, moves on." It just seems like the whole movie was engineered to glorify the Hulk while making the Asgardians come off as pathetic excuses for gods.

MAN I can't wait for all the Thor related Animated movies. lol

the premise of hulk is the more angry he gets the stronger he gets, therefore hulks strength is potentally limitless, with no banner to hold the hulk in check the hulk's strength was off the charts. even when hulk was being controlled by loki thor was able to take the hulk down it was only when any human influence was removed that hulk truly got the better of thor.

I didn't like how thor was treated but it did make for complelling viewing, I definately perferred hulk v thor story rather than the hulk v wolverine story.

the hulk in this movie reminded me of kurse, from the simionson run, even with thor's belt of strength thor was taken down as it wasn't a level playing field. I think it would have been more even (the fight with hulk) if thor entered a besereker rage.

im just hoping the disney animators will help with the marvel animation. so far the animation has been crappy. i liked hulk vs thor, just because i got to see thor. the animation was good for hulk vs thor, but hulk vs wolverine is just bad. i do hope they do more animated movies though. only problem is they sold alot of their movie rights so it will be hard to use some characters. you see how they had to replace silver surfer with beta ray bill because of litigation. it is weird they couldnt get silver surfer but got wolverine from fox. i would like to see some cosmic stuff. maybe annihilation war, kree skrull war, guardians of the galaxy, nova, i would still like to see silver surfer. maybe start a new series with silver surfer again.

yea hopefully having disney at their hands now, they can work with disney animators on future films.

It's not a question of the animators, I believe; it's a question of the money Marvel's willing to put forward for the movies' production. Better animation costs more money, and as far as I'm aware, Marvel's out to make these DTV movies for as little as possible. Hence, animation that's not terrible but certainly not spectacular, either. I believe the money issue is part of why DC's DTV movies tend to be very short, as well--their animation actually is quite good, but they keep them down to barely over an hour to save money.

yea hopefully they can find a good middle ground maybe.
