Thor: The Dark World Trailer Thread

NICE to get to hear a bit of other Culture's views. Loki/Tom however seems to be the same EVERYWHERE lol the women love him lol

I realized i also might had some grammar error in the several post i posted ,
but really appreciate for your concern for this matter, thanks, Vartha :)

I don't think so, Asano on his Twitter account so far as i can tell only keep sharing about 47 Ronin, but none of Thor so far...maybe considering he's not the main role player in Thor...

(but, i do believe when the first official Thor: The Dark World poster arrive, in our country it will use an exclusively special poster that will feature Asano, just like the first Thor movie that changed the original Heimdal in the background and replaced it with Hogun)
Well I hope that little quote from Thor saying Hogun's homeworld was under threat doesn't mean we won't see Hogun much.

Speaking of trailer...

when the first time the trailer comes out, the Twitter buzz around my Twitter's Japan community was all about Loki and his hair...www
There's a lot of Loki fans (or i have to say, Tom Hiddleston fans) also here in Japan...check out on Twitter's account: @TomsFansJapan, and @Loki_bot and you will see the craziness there...but many of whom have no idea about Thor's mythology whatsoever, they seems didn't know or care about Malekith and his dark elves, what catches them is only Loki i think, even many of them wants Thor & Loki together to become Kings of Asgard...(I hope this is not happening..)

Loki also has a nickname here called ロキたん (Loki-tan) :D
FYI, the term "~tan" in here is used when addressing cute and kawaii persons, animals, and things, and commonly also the term used mostly by teenage girl who likes cute things...
I don't know who started that term but here, Loki-tan is quite popular when mentioning Loki...and when mentioning Thor, the term "兄上" (big brother) is used..

I'm sorry to post this to all... just want to share some unique circumstances surrounding Thor: The Dark World's hype that happened in my own neighbourhood...

Please don't be sorry; I really enjoyed reading this and seeing the beautiful Japanese lettering. I am a big fan of Loki. Er, I mean Loki-tan! (I will always think of him as Loki-tan now!):yay:

He gets all kinds. As the saying goes, 'eight to eighty, blind, crippled and crazy'. :woot:

Plenty of crazy, poor guy.

Since Hogun has always been my favorite member of the Warrior's 3 I will be very disapppointed if his role isn't larger in T:TDW.

What are people here most looking forward to from a new trailer? I want a look at what the other realms are looking like overall in production design. I would think some more Jane/Thor/Sif stuff. And of course, I want to see a couple of big Thor power moments.

I still want to see the Main cast. A peek at everyone, even if it's a fraction of a second.
Yeah, I want to see all the worlds but let's see the Asgardian Family!

:P

but really though, I am dying to see Kurse. out of all the characters set to appear in phase 2, he's my most highly anticipated, in terms of appearance. Given how he's big, and essentially wearing organic armor, it's tough to see how that translates on screen, I think that we may see some more strait up creature, opposed to a big thing of armor.

As long as the horns are there, and the skull on his chest (somehow), is there, I'll be happy

I don't mind not being completely true the character visually, as long as he is who he is supposed to be I'm cool. Although Marvel has done such a good job translating the look of the characters to the big screen with a new but very familiar look.

Yeah Kurse is definately the character I'm looking forward to seeing the most, I also want to see The Warrior's 3. Of course I want to see some big power moments for Thor, but that goes without saying.

^ I don't know how to say this, but I don't want the big power moments to be spoiled in the trailer, any of them. However, I want the peace of mind KNOWING that they will be in the movie, but I don't want to see it in the trailer, if that makes any sense?

If they are in the movie, they will probably be in the trailer... that's kinda what trailers are for.

Eh, trailers are to get people to see the movie, and generally aren't, to spoil big moments. Thor's uppercut on hulk, in the avengers. Hulk punching the chitauri.

Spoiling big moments isn't what trailers are for, in my opinion

Makes sense to me, and I think you said it perfectly.

Saw two films recently--IM3 and, just last weekend, World War Z--that had super scenes that were shown repeatedly in trailers/promos. And as a result they were less thrilling than they would have been if you didn't know exactly when they were coming and what they'd look like.

Back in the old days, trailers were more subtle. (And we walked 5 miles to school each day and were happy!!:yay:)

I agree. I still like to be surprised by these big moments.

Okay, maybe I misunderstood you... I thought you were referring to money shot moments, not climactic moments (of course you don't want to see how a fight ends in a trailer, nor would you normally - but you might see a huge display of power from Thor because trailers are supposed to dazzle you).

I'm hoping the trailer has some Thor/Loki/Odin/Frigga scenes. The dynamic of the family made for some of my favorite scenes in the first movie.

I didn't mean "spoil" the big power moments, they could easily do what MOS' trailers did andshow just the right amount.

The MOS campaign was very well done. I appreciated that they never just out and showed you everything the film was going to do, action wise, in a 2min advertisement. There were so many things, visually, that I was fresh to upon my first watch. That was a great use of trailers/teasers. I want DARK WORLD trailers to take pointers. Let me see just enough of what Thor in action is going to be like. But don't show me the 2-3 biggest "climax" moments in the movie. I hate when they do that. :cmad:
