Nope. I think it's going to be up for grabs at the next auction when they get rid of their legacy IP.

I really hope Platinum Games will be the ones acquiring them. I always thought a game with Strife as the main character should play like Vanquish.

I don't know, I don't want Darksiders to become just another Japanese developed action platformer. It was more of a Zelda dungeon crawler, then had turned more RPG... I don't want it going backwards and becoming more generic.

If they like and respect Darksiders enough to want to buy it, I don't see why they would want to change it too much.

I dunno, Darksiders had a very specific style and scope and it hasn't really been a HUGE money earner. I can see it getting an overhaul

I think if they ever made another Darksiders it needs to basically continue the story from the first game and get to the good stuff.

I would have liked to see it happen . if Platinum Games picked all tof the employees and dark siders franchise I hope they picked this up as well so they can let the vigil dev teams finish their work .

Apparently some of the news Reviews shows are trying of thinking of a way of sending in some sort of support for the vigil as well.

Sega has confirmed that it has picked up the Warhammer 40k license when it purchased Relic Entertainment. They have also acquired all of Relic's games with the exception of the Homeworld series along with Vigil's work on Dark Millennium.

Sega has actually been doing pretty well in the niche PC market with The Creative Assembly's Total War series and Sports Interactive's Football Manager series. Acquiring Relic Entertainment and the Warhammer 40k license fits really well with what Sega has been doing. Sega Wow's Valkyria Chronicles series and Ryū ga Gotoku Studio's Yakuza series also have very high receptions.

The problem with Sega though is that while it's niche titles are excellent, the games that made the company big like Sonic, NiGHTS, Shinobi, Phantasy Star, and Golden Axe haven't been up to par.

It's really strange to think of Sega becoming like the number one publisher of strategy games.
