Strange, I could've sworn you were too young to get the reference. But you're the first!

After short hibernating, the thread is awaken

Why is there a monster inside a school? And why is he near the girls restroom?
That plot in Harry Potter's first story is pretty goofy

Checked both many years ago, don't remember why he was in the school to begin with

No, I think he means the troll, lol

Should I use spoiler tags?

I would assume that they have an assortment of rather dangerous creatures on school grounds merely for research and treatment purposes.

You have to remember, Hogwarts would employ all of the best wizards, so it was almost like an university of sorts; with other outside business and scientific concerns being dealt with around and in the school.

What's really nonsensical about the Harry Potter universe how little they actually seemed to punish anyone. I mean, the whole Voldemort movement was VERY similar to Nazism, yet instead of imprisoning all of his followers or banishing them to South America like the Germans did, they not only let them remain free, but also let them continue to have rather high ranking government positions.

That's pretty ****ing insane.

Oh! And not to mention Filch threatened Harry Potter's life in front of about 10 people in the Chamber of Secrets. If a janitor at a middle school threatened a student, do you think he'd remain employed?

Well people like Lucius got away with it by claiming they were under the Imperius Curse and probably more helpfully, by bribing Fudge.

Well apparently the trials of the Death Eaters, known Death Eaters, were like the witch trials and you got either a lighter sentence or set free if you had the names of other Death Eaters. Key phrase "known Death Eaters" I dont think they all had their allegiance known. But Im just a guy who read two books and saw the movies (save Deathly Hollows Part II)

You know what is ****ing insane? Harry living in a cupboard.

Still seems like a dangerous place to have a bunch of young kids running around, no? Your kid might be lucky to graduate without being maimed or eaten, lol. :p

I think a fair number were only mentally scarred or best case scared ****less

Going to see Hunger Games in a few minutes. Hope its' not sold out, lol

It wasn't sold out but the theater was fairly full just the same. The movie wasn't as good as I expected, not as good as the book. :(

Don't you just assume going in that it's not going to be as good as the book?

Movies are rarely as good as the book. Why do people always feel the need to compare the movies to their adaptations?

American, remember that last president you had, Mr Bush Jr? Remember how the world laughed at you so much for voting him into power, twice! Have you noticed that laughter disappeared when you voted Obama in? The rest of the world likes Obama and we only have your best interests at heart (unless it's North Korea but just ignore them).

Keep Obama as long as you can, don't fall for **** like this!

If I really like a book...I assume the movie will not be as good. So if it's as good or better it's a nice surprise, if it isn't, it's no disappointment.

Because humans always compare one thing to another....a variation made of a previously experienced thing is a natural thing to discuss and compare.
