Movies are rarely as good as the book. Why do people always feel the need to compare the movies to their adaptations?

Well the books were astonishingly good and engrossing and with all the hype from the movie, I guess I was hoping for the same kind of experience... which didn't happen. I am not saying the movie was bad or anything, it wasn't, it just wasn't like, SHIZZAM, or anything... I mean Game of Thrones in both mediums has been amazing. No comparison, really.

I used to love The Walking Dead TV show, until I hunted down the comics (in TPB form). Now I can't even really appreciate the show, because it doesn't hold up to the pure bad-assery of the comics (compare T-Dog to Tyreese or TV Carol and Dale to comic Carol and Dale). Yep, 9 out of 10 times, comics/books are superior to the TV shows/movies that are based on them.
