you're right, but it's not so much that it's too bright as it is too saturated. so i adjusted the colors a bit. let me know if it looks better or not (i left the all blue version alone so you guys can compare the glove)

I originally changed it because i didn't want it to look like the rest of the suit. it has to look distinguished.

This still does not belong in a Marvel forum.

Didn't IMAGE or Top Cow also do a Thundercats comic?

Also, are they still planning on this being CG like Gatchaman?

I gotta say I really love this concept, colours look great and I'd be more than happy for them to go down the animation route rather than live action.

I really hope this gets some serious movement soon!

Lion O- Vin Diesel

Cheetara-Sharlize Theron

Tygra- Mat Daymon

Panthro- Cuba Gooding Jr

Snarf - CGI, with Owen Wilson's voice.

Mumm-Ra- Eric Bana

If they decide to go CG, the Avatar route is the way to go as far as looks. So they look human, but still have that feral look about them.

^For those of us who didn't make it to SDCC, could you fill us in on what the "Avatar route" is?

When the show was on back in the day DC made comics for it. Wildstrom made new comics a few years back.

Loving the concept art.

Totally reminds me of the show yet totally modern/futuristic :D

If the film can look like this I will be in line.

Now just depends on the cast.

50% off-topic but.. next month they'll be releasing the ThunderCats cartoons on DVD down here, so I'm happy :woot: yay for me

Scott Speedman for Lion-O

Scott Speedman for Lion-O

Ali Larter for Cheetara

Tyrese Gibson for Panthro

Guy Pierce for Tigra

not sure yet about Wiley Kitt and Katt I'll get back to you on those..

Oded Fehr for Mumm-Ra

make groundbreaking make-up and prosthetics or whait 6 or 8 years so that the Avatar CGI becomes cheaper. and then do 100% CGI thundercats.

avatar is super expensive. and noone would do that kind of CGI if its not Cameron.

My Thundercats fan cast

Liono------Ben Foster (coming of age story, I think he could pull off the kid in a man's body forced to grow up quickly, kinda like McEvoy in Wanted)
Tygra-----Rick Yune (calm collected, shy guy) Initial choice would be Sendhil Ramamurthy, but Rick Yune is an excellent martial artist
Panthro---Michael Duncan Clark (he screams Panthro) 2nd choice Vin D.
Cheetara--Zoe Saldana (could be motherly, yet strong, catty face, cheetah-thin body)
Wilykit----Tessa Allen (lil Gracie from Enough w/ J.Lo, she could pull off the sassy/troublesome WK) 1st choice Anna S. Rob but she's a bit older now
WilyKat---Leo Howard (GI: JOE, young Snake-Eyes, the kid kicks butt and is goofy on his Disney show Leo Little's Big Show)

Young Liono---Cayden Boyd

Where are you? I got the entire series about 2 years ago. :yay:

Not bad. I'll see your Elizando and raise you Ken Watanabe

As for the other New TCats, I'll take Michelle Rodriguez as (the criminally underused) Pumyra

If I may say, finding the perfect actor to play Bengali is nigh-impossible. That said, I think Penn Badgley could do a good job.

Casting the Mutants is a bit of a challenge, but it also allows one to go a little crazy, since casting monsters is a very inexact science.

Lee Arenberg (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN) as Slythe
castslythe.jpg

Seriously, he looks like Slythe's human twin!

Dash Mihok (PUNISHER: WAR ZONE) as Monkian
castmonkian.jpg

He also played (or mo-capped) the Alpha Male in I AM LEGEND, so he's got that going for him.

For Jackalman, how about go-to thug character actor Kevin Corrigan (THE DEPARTED, PINEAPPLE EXPRESS)
castjackalman.jpg

For Vultureman, I'll take Mackenzie Crook (Pirates of the Caribbean, "The Office)
castvultureman2.jpg

And for the grand finale:
Michael Clarke Duncan as Grune the Destroyer, of course
castgrune.jpg

That's all for me as far as casting THUNDERCATS. Guys like the Lunataks and the Berserkers, someone else can have them
