I like what they went with for the final product. The Thunder Kittens look too old, and the art looks a bit too Avatar-ish for my liking.

Not to mention, quite a few characters in the reboot did resemble their original designs.

I will be the first to tell you this is not a show I would have watched between age 6-11, and I was into all kinds of nerdy stuff as a kid. The cartoons I watched when I was younger are still appreciated largely by adults today. So what's this argument about this is for kids?

While a lot of the stuff I watched back then don't hold up today, I find that my favorites from back then (ex. Batman TAS, Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, etc.) are still legitimately good shows as an adult. So it isn't just being blinded by nostalgia.

And it isn't like these old properties can't be revived successfully. I think the new Ducktales is fantastic. I even like it more than the original. That's how to relaunch an old kids cartoon.
