Who were cream of the crop in the 50's and 60's?? Whose pages would you buy even if the stories stunk?

Steve Ditko was one of my favorites..... remember the obscure Mr. A

His action scenes were so fluid...so smooth. He had a great grasp on anatomy. His Spiderman was perfect. But I really liked The Atom he rendered.

Dick Giordano

These two, and Neal Adams helped define the look of DC Superheros. Also their art was often used for merchadising in th 70s and early 80s.

Other than Kirby, no other artist defined the Marvel style. Except maybe Romita....

Marie Severin

Not a lot of female artists back then.....Her a Fradon at DC held their own. Marie did good work. Some of her stuff looked like Kirby or Busceman "knock-offs".

Can we even think about the silver age without this guy??? No Way....

Always loved the Buscema brothers and John Romita as a kid (love JR JR.'s stuff now).
They did great stuff and I don't ever remember books being months late when they were on them.:woot:

Man...you ain't lying!! Technology and new digital stuff I'm sure they use now, didn't exist back then. Yet the old school got 'er done! On time!!
