Tim Burton and Batman Forever

As a producer of Batman Forever, would Tim Burton been able to have made the movie less campy, etc? For example, I read an article last year that Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin ruined Spider-man 3 because Avi pushed for Venom to be added in, and Laura pushed for another love interest (Gwen Stacy) thus, crowding the plot, etc. I figured Burton could've made the movie suck less.

He was producer in name only he had nothing to do with the project aside from recommending Schumacher and overlooking an early story outline with the Batchler's.

Well the concept of Bruce not wanting to be Batman was Burton's idea and Schumacher brought it from him and still gave him credit.
