World Tim Burton costume could have worked!

People were complaining about Singer going too dark with Supes' costume in Returns. This is even darker and not...cool.

Plus you're forgetting that the S-shield came off and would form daggers.

At this point...they're not one to talk. They turned Superman into a father! Which is as big of a crime as what Burton was gonna do.

Yes...that's the ACTUAL design Burton made but the one Supersebas made is an improvement in my opinion. And, it could worked had the final product looked like what Supersebas made.

At least they were able to pull Superman out of a 70 year rut and actually be brave enough to explore new territory. It worked brilliantly.

It was going to happen sooner or later. Later is probably the more likely choice.

nobody wants to explore Luthor land schemes again and we've already gotten our fill of superkids from the incredibles, sky high, and probably some episodes of smallville I can't recall right now.

Oh and this costume looks pretty badass. Singer must have liked it because it reminds me of that grey super suit from the new movie.

There is some validity to this point. I keep hearing about how much kids don't like "Batman Begins" but my first feeling whenever I hear this is "Screw 'em." Still, Superman should appeal to kids. Its interesting that Donner was able to appeal to both levels so well.

Hmm...so we have a dark Spider-Man film coming, and we could've had a dark Superman film coming?! Dangn't I love Hollywood!

I was just saying in another thread how I'd love to eventually maybe make a Superman trilogy of my own, or atleast one Superman film. Having him go dark and wear a black and maroon suit would be FAB. It's be a good battle for him to overcome.
