I just saw that. I really like what he's saying so far. I wasn't real thrilled with the Baxter building first time. Higher tech and closer to the comics is sounds like it could be a big improvement over the original.

And I can't wait to see the fantasticar!

From what TS has said in interviews over the past few years, I have a feeling that he has a real desire to capture the feel of the comics but was limited by the script and designs that were already in place when he was brought on board.

We'll have to wait and see, but I'm a LOT happier hearing him say the things he's saying rather than saying he loved Doom, the Baxter Building etc. in the first film.

Sorry about the delay,
Current mood: energetic

Sorry guys,

I've been going crazy prepping this thing. Just got back from Vancouver, which is of course where we will be filming the movie, and things are shaping up. It's the hard part of the phase where I have to make the ..'s work. Even with 100+ mil, there's never enough money. Looking at the plan for the new Baxter Building interior and it's going to be hot. We're going more high tech and we're giving Reed Richards and the gang more gadgets this time around. The "4" logo will be everywhere as we are used to seeing it. They are a corporation now.

I'm going to use some looks that have been inspired from more recent comics, like in "The Ulimate Exstinction" and a little from the "Ultimate Fan Four" series. I know what you're thinking "Kirby, Kirby, Kirby!" There will be much props given to Kirby throughout the movie.

What I'm really excited about is the Fantasticar. It's coming guys in all it's glory. Wait until you see it. It's going to split in pieces and all that. Johnny and Ben fight over who should fly it. All the fun you expect.

Anyway, I'm jumping off. My kid's bday is today and I gotta set up a jumper and blow up balloons. Can't get in trouble. Sorry I haven't been giving you guys more info on a regular basis. I will. Undersatnd there's always so much secrecy with this stuff but I'm going to continue to share in every way I can. Hopefully I'll be able to show some pictures in the near future. I want to keep you guys close to this process. It's going to be fun.

Lots of good news though with the announcment of a newer baxter building, more gadgits, ben vs johnny. I get this sense from Tims blog for them to be able to pull this movie off it needs to be 2.5 hours atleast, FOX please read this and just accept it.

Matt, we've had alot of things said on this site by people who knew someone...even people saying they were one thing when in fact they were something completely different. Have someone from Fox come on this site, maybe our guy that works on the official site that has been on here a few times, and some of us have talked to in PM's.....have him come on....or PM and say that is in fact him.....and I'll jump for joy. You know what guys i think FOX realizes that if a BADLY reviewed F4 movie can do $330 million worldwide beating X-men 1 which got great reviews then a great, awesome action packed with great sfx movie can do $500+ worldwide boxoffice.

That is why they are updating everything for F4-2.

Now if only FOX had given more time to the people involved in the making of F4-2

Oh wel...... I am very confident if it doesn't deliver story wise, it will atleast when it comes to action, sfx and cool gadgets and stuff. It most probably will become a CROWD PLEASER!!!!

I sure hope not. I can accept the Big G being not so big...He's taken physical form in the comics before no taller than Giant Man...but the so-called "ultimate" version is such a complete bastardization... It would be a tremendous error to go that way, in my opinion.

Some fans would boycott (most in the audience have probably never heard of Galactus/Silver Surfer/ or the Ultimate version of anything), but I don't think enough to damage the BO. And 99% of those that say they would boycott it will be sitting on the front row opening day. That way they can come back here and bash legally...lol

If the Surfer isn't the "big" villain, then we know that Doom is probably going to be the main threat again. Galactus will be a impending threat but not an immediate threat. Doom will have Latveria behind him and he will strike hard at the F4 and will be able to do more damage if Doom has the Surfer's cosmic power...
