Tim Story on Myspace?!

Some fans would boycott (most in the audience have probably never heard of Galactus/Silver Surfer/ or the Ultimate version of anything), but I don't think enough to damage the BO. And 99% of those that say they would boycott it will be sitting on the front row opening day. That way they can come back here and bash legally...lol

hahaha lol that is so true :)

If the Surfer isn't the "big" villain, then we know that Doom is probably going to be the main threat again. Galactus will be a impending threat but not an immediate threat. Doom will have Latveria behind him and he will strike hard at the F4 and will be able to do more damage if Doom has the Surfer's cosmic power...

sounds GREAT!!!

Sorry about the delay,
Current mood: energetic

Sorry guys,

I've been going crazy prepping this thing. Just got back from Vancouver, which is of course where we will be filming the movie, and things are shaping up. It's the hard part of the phase where I have to make the ..'s work. Even with 100+ mil, there's never enough money. Looking at the plan for the new Baxter Building interior and it's going to be hot. We're going more high tech and we're giving Reed Richards and the gang more gadgets this time around. The "4" logo will be everywhere as we are used to seeing it. They are a corporation now.

I'm going to use some looks that have been inspired from more recent comics, like in "The Ulimate Exstinction" and a little from the "Ultimate Fan Four" series. I know what you're thinking "Kirby, Kirby, Kirby!" There will be much props given to Kirby throughout the movie.

What I'm really excited about is the Fantasticar. It's coming guys in all it's glory. Wait until you see it. It's going to split in pieces and all that. Johnny and Ben fight over who should fly it. All the fun you expect.

Anyway, I'm jumping off. My kid's bday is today and I gotta set up a jumper and blow up balloons. Can't get in trouble. Sorry I haven't been giving you guys more info on a regular basis. I will. Undersatnd there's always so much secrecy with this stuff but I'm going to continue to share in every way I can. Hopefully I'll be able to show some pictures in the near future. I want to keep you guys close to this process. It's going to be fun.

Until next time.

P.S. I'm typing so fast, so if anything's misspelled, forgive me.
Great update from Tim:up: I like what i'm hearing.:)

FINALLY!!!

Tim Story understands what the fans want in F4-2. Either he sat down and read a lot of F4 comic books OR he saw to all the fans comments and realized that this time he has to deliver else fans are gonna be pissed big time.

^ Not only that but the studio knows the film will be supported at the box office so he can have more fun, and now the origins are past us.

I like what i was readin there, im really excited for this movie more than ever now!!!

I'm kind of worried for some reason after hearing all this.It feels like everything story-wise is going to fast.I'll just wait and see.

My Fantastic Four 2 glass is half full, don't get me wrong but this quote slightly worries me.

Lots of good news though

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. While I hate the Ultimate Universe, I did pick up Ultimate Extinction. It was awful. I won't boycott FF2 if they go that route (like antariksh suggests) but I certainly won't support the film.

Still, I will continue to be optimistic because I know everything is in place to create one exceptional movie.

Everything being the budget, the perfect cast and crew and the spectacular FX from FF1.

You got that...from that?

And he only said some designs from ultimate extinction. not actually story wise.

I liked the first movie, but Ultimate Doom sucked. That said, I really, really don' like UFF and Hope that all he is taking from them is some designs and visuals and not story. This Galactus-is-a-swarm-of-planet-eating-energy-leaches-with-a-Silver-Surfer-that-has-wings thing. I'll have to pick up a copy of Ultimate Extinction and see what he's talking about. I'm optimistic, but no too.

I think regardless of what Story does, whether in taking liberties or being faithful to stuff in the original stories, people are going to whine. They're already dead set against him, so even if he did everything as Kirby envisioned, it would be a moot point.

If true, I like what I'm hearing. But as pointed out before, if they are going to put Doom, Galctus, SS, Fantiscar, more Ben and Johnny, it can not be a 98 minute highlight reel. These things need a good 2 1/2 hours. So Tim, do your thing, we are behind you, and if the editors at Fox try to chop it appart, like they did the 1st, do me a favor. Chop their fingers off. Don't let then screw with this movie like they did the 1st one. Use whatever powers you have if any. Give the fans out there what they want, a good, heartfelt, sequel, with all the things we the fans expect. :) Noone will mind sitting thru a 2 1/2 hour FF sequel, if it has all the goodies.

Carpman wake up X3 is 205.5 international now. LOL

Don't worry about X3. Ask Tim to read my post and do what he can. :)

Ask Vile One. He'll be seeing him on the 21st. I won't be at the SDCC till 22nd. :( However I'll meet Favreau and Raimi. :)

Well, I just hope that Story realizes that Doom was more Ultimate Doom than anything in the first movie and he is one of the Kirby elements he is talking about (i.e. shedding his organic skin and putting organic armor on). I think Story is going to surprise us this time and he will show what he is capable of and this movie has to be at least 2 hours or it won't work....

I don't think Doom was any kind of F4 Doom....how was he UFF Doom? Except maybe more business manish maybe? To me the only one from UFF was Sue.

*under the belief it is Story*

I like his enthusiasm and the news about the Fantasticar as it's a big part of the F4's legacy, the updating of the Baxter building making it more futuristic is also great news as i thought it looked like a rejected set from a low budget Sci Fi channel show the first time around plus making them
a corporation is a cool idea

Not sure aobut the Ultmate look usage or the $100M budget but mostly pleased with this update

If the Fantasticar is introduced along with the family's celebritydom, what's the problem?

This is a necessary element for this series; I'm surprised that some are crying bloody war over something with such cherished precedence in the comics.

Exactly!i think some think it may looks corny as not all things translate well from page to screen however if they design to look sleek and relevant and use it in a cool fashion without going to over the top i see no problem
