This is a stupid name for a thread but Tim just changed the background on his site at http://www.myspace.com/timkstory with a pic of the silver surfer. I can't copy it here for some reason and it's hidden behind the text. There must be a way to copy it. Someone paste it here. Not sure if I've seen it before or not. Edit: Got it.

 WOW!!! If the Surfer looks anything close to this in the movie, it will be absolutely awesome!!! Thanks Dark!!

Kathy :)

i've never seen the surfer as an angry presence myself...isn't emotion completely out of his depth, hence why the humans are able to get to him via compassion which he learns while surrounded by the ff????

i want him to show up angry and non caring and slowly become good and caring :D

Cool!!

Does anyone recognize the drawing as an older piece, or is it new concept art?

If he's posting it, it must at least be close to what they're shooting for, and it looks GREAT to me.

I'm just imagining walking into the cinema complex and seeing a poster looking something like this image... Brilliant!!!

In his last blog entry he did say they were working on concept art and that they would post them there and I haven't seen that picture before so it very well could be the first piece of concept art.

I hope so, and I hope whoever did that one is doing work on other characters/sets/vehicles . . .

Looks similar to this one.....off of wilkipedia

I like the on Tim's site much better It's darker. In space he shouldn't look so silver if he' reflective.

I agree, it looks more . . . "real".

And I'd say the one from Wikipedia is just about the coolest image I've seen of the Surfer . . .

. . . until today.

I am sure I have seen this pic somewhere before...

Update: Its not concept art, it is from Annihilation...

Hmmm maybe it'll be called: Fantastic Four: Annihilation

Don't know that I'd mind that....

Tim must call the artist of this image to work a few on the production of FF.Like Jon Favreau did with Adi Granov on the art concept of Iron Man movie(2008).

Thats what I've been passing around for a name but no ones really acknowleged it.

Yup, those images are from the Annihilation comic featuring Dell'Otto's art. Here's some more:

Wow that guy is a great SS artist.

Yup, especially considering these are all traditional paints, he's the #1 artist in my list, Ross 2nd.
