I've asked Tim Story via his myspace account to come here and answer questions when he has time. He starts filming in 2 months so I doubt he'll be as freely available as Favreau is since Iron Man is a year from filming. I suggested that if he does join these boards to post his screenname on his myspace blog to prevent impersonators from ruining this board and making it easy to weed them out. Hopefully he'll come by and say hi.

Edit: I'm not going to send these questions to myspace as I previously suggested since Tim now has the link to this thread. Again, hopefully he'll check it out.

Tim, if you're reading this you should know this board is moderated very well and if anyone messes with you...we'll stomp them.

For those who don't have a myspace account I'll compile them all and send them off to him. He said he's reading everything. If he starts a message forum like Favreau did then I'll post them all there. If he responds I'll post them all here. I'm also going to e-mail him this link and have asked if/when he has free time and he doesn't feel like creating his own message boards on myspace to pop in here.

Do me a favor and try to see if someone else has already asked the same question and encapsule your questions in quotes so they stand out when I search for them. Let's encourage the guy.

Great idea. Thanks guy.

"Just tell him this is 1 fan who is behind him 100 %. Just give us a sequel, that will knock our socks off, and stay true to what the FF is all about. Family. That's all I want. 1 question, will there be any filming befor Aug. 15th ? You did a great job with the 1st movie. This is 1 fan who enjoyed it, and had goosebumps every time I saw it. Seeing my childhood heros, come to life on the big screen, was, well words can't explain what I felt. "

I could make a laundry list of things, but I think that is uncessary. He knows better then any of us what went wroung, and what it is going to take to correct it.He loves the FF and It's charactors just as much as any of us. And he wants to give us the best. So let's not make this a gripe session, but to give him encourgament, and let him know we the fans support him. :) FF rules baby !!!!!!!!

Good Idea AD...

Simple question....Please Explain Jessica's comments...LOL

"I start [filming] on August 28th, I think, through the fall," Alba said of the sequel to last year's blockbuster about a radiation-fueled super-family. "It's going to be a very, very exciting, hot, new, fresh 'Fantastic Four.' We're going to amp up the action, amp up the love interest, amp it all up."

"I'm the most powerful of the four," Alba boasted, saying that the full-blown effects of the first film's hero-making mishap will finally be felt as she takes on the powers of her comrades. "I can kind of do everyone else's powers."[/B]"There is a little tension between the Silver Surfer and Reed," Alba said of the script, which will finally bring the legendary Marvel character to the big screen. The cosmos-roaming Silver Surfer has gained an army of loyal fans with his conflicted, complicated story line. Of the Surfer, Alba said: "He's a little good and a little bad. So it's just a matter of, 'What does Sue Storm bring — the good or the bad — out of that boy?'"

Looks like we may possibly get a visit from Tim here!!! It doesn't seem like he's going to have the time like Jon Favreau because FF2 is going to begin filming in 2 months while Iron MAn is a year away from filming so it would seem he'd have more time to answer questions here than create a forum of his own. Let's hope!

Body: I would rather answer them myself. I just don't know where i'm going to find the time. But I'll try for the fans. Good communication to you guys know what's going on.

Don't know if this means here or there. Sound more like here if you saw my entire question.

Change of plans: Guys post your questions/suggestions or whatever directly to Tim on this board until he opens up a myspace board. :)

He colud be looking at your post at any time...

Ok here's my first questions/suggestions. Just so you know I really enjoyed the film and understand it's an origin film of a difficult franchise that action fans aren't exactly used to as compared to the more serious X-Men:

1) Please do not overly spoil this movie. While I still enjoyed X3 it seemd too much info leaked out and was spoiled even by the director. All the stuff the fans were dying to see was leaked out. It would have been better to not reveal the Danger Room and The Sentinel in the trailers/clips shown on TV. Let the best parts of the film be kept secret. One of the things that bugged me about the first Fantastic Four was that some of the best scenes were shown in the trailers so when you go to see the movie very few of the great action sequences were a surprise or fresh.

2) How are you going to make The Thing look better? Did the Trasnformation chamber ordeal at the end of the first film perhaps cause him to slowly change again so he may look different in this film? Brow?

3) There weren't many cases of Johnny's flames having an effect on the real world environment and I think that should be done in the sequel. Like if he's "flamed on" and standing in the street shouldn't the asphault be melting, or if he's standing in sand shouldnt it turn to glass, etc...If you've seen the Ghost Rider trailer when the bike zooms by all the parking meters start melting.

4) I think one of the most important things is Reeds character was kind of boring at times. You had him shining in certain moments. However once you got them all into the apartment and you had the music tempo speed up and all the comedy bits were going on it was great. I'd like to see Reed more comforatble with his powers and obviously with Sue Storm and show them in a more energetic relationship. Reed seemed almost like his was on Prozac at times. LOL I know he's a scientist but a bit more energy from him would be nice or if it's too much out of character then I'd like to see some more comedic moments inolving Reed.

5) Doom. There were a zillion complaints that what we saw was not Doom. I agree but it's not a knock on the character. I think the fans expected too much character development in the first film. He just got his powers and all the fans expected him to suddenly have a full mastery of his powers, to call himself Dr. Doom, and have this huge empire in place with doombots everywhere. Clearly with a few years time elapsed between part 1 and part 2 some of the popular aspects of Doom could have taken place behind the scenes. It would also seem that Galactus would be a common enemy to both the FF and Dr. Doom. I hope you're saving the battle for Earth for part 3 and use this sequel to develop the characters more including Doom and the Silver Surfer.

6) I heard Kelsey Grammer on TV talking about how Fox might want Hank McCoy (The Beast) to make a cameo or short appearance in the Fantastic Four sequel. I"d love to see a short scene with him showing up at Reeds building disucssing scientific stuff and having some real comedic moments between the 4 and him. Like Johnny singing his hair or something. LOL But just a short appearance nothing that distracts the audience from the fact that this is all about the 4.

OH and here's a title suggestion:

Fantastic Four: Doomsday

It has a double meaning. Referring to Doom's reappearance and the impending doom of Galactus.

People in production had that on their list a while back ;)

The only thing that I would say is please don't feel compelled to answer all of our questions, I personally would rather you spent time on the movie and had some time to chill so that you can be putting your all into it instead of trying to answer a thousand fan questions in between takes lol

If there was one wish I had it would be that you don't reveal too much, because X3 was spoilt for me because of the sheer volume of information that was released before the movie came out. Even just the little details that were shared.

Kel and AD have asked some of the questions i was gonna ask so......

1)How many villains in the movie ? that includes SS who is initially a threat

2)Will surfer be Silver ALL the time ?

3)Will the sequel have a longer runtime as i felt the first was to short ?

4)Will we see Doom in FULL armour this time and in Latveria ?

5)What plans are there to evolve Johnny's character in the sequel ?

6)If you can give us any info on an action sequence planned for the movie that would also be cool:D

While I could make a list of 100's of suggestions and comments, I think I'll try to keep it simple.

Mr. Story, If you don't already have one, I think you'll find this very useful:

Pop it in your laptop and whenever you have some down-time, read through some issues. You can use your "Printscreen" function to save images that you like in a special file and share them with your storyboard artists and other crew members.

Other than that, I can't wait for June 2007. :)

Oh, and if it wouldn't be too much trouble . . . could you add a little foam rubber to the Thing's brow?

Oh, here are a few I've already saved in my file that you may find useful:

. . . Oh, and if you'd like to send me a confidentiality agreement and a script, I'd be more than happy to offer some comments/suggestions free of charge.;)

Great pics there Willie. :) vvvvvvvvvv Would love to see some of those scenes in whatewver movie.

Is Sue going to evolve from a *****y sister? Even Jessica saw this as a problem...

Is Reed going to evolve from a lethargic scientist, and uninvolved member of the team?

Is Johnny going to evolve from a TOTAL jack ass, 24/7 to more of a brother?

Is Ben going to evolve more into the wise-cracking kick ass Thing of the comics? Not a superhero that gets slammed with a light pole...

Are we going to see more of the relationships of
*Ben and Sue
*Sue and Johnny

Is Ioan correct when he says he can hang on to his woman?

Even though I think giving you suggestions at this time is pretty dumb...since I'm sure (and certainly hope) that the script is done...I have only a couple of suggestions...or maybe I should call them hopes....

In my opinion...the first movie was a story about 1 superhero (johnny) and his side kicks Ben, Sue and Reed...I would like a more balanced view of these four....as a family, as a team...

Also, along those same lines....Johnny's scenes seemed to be more of a video from MTV than actual character building scenes....1. the ski scene, 2. the Motocross scene....and in some ways the little montage with the 50's music....I loved the breakfast table scene....more of those less of the montage stuff......only sugguestions......My hope is that we have a better movie, with more relationship and family....

Ok Tim, here goes.

1. Sue Storm. Leave the gratuious skin scenes out of this one. The bridge, and the 1st time we see her in her outfit when they are getting ready to go into space. Too tight, too much hormone pumping. Sue Storm was a sexy, stroung, modist women, without any gratious scenes in the early comics. Jessica is a beautiful woman, and her sexyness can be highlighted, without the skin shots. Beauty, strenght, and modisty, that is Sue Storm.

2. Power Doom way down. He tried to defeat the FF with his superior intelect, not brute force. The idea that Doom could beat The Thing in a hand to hand fight was absurd. When The Thing clobbered you, you didn't get up. And the scene where he throws Ben out of the back of the garbage truck, equally absurd.

3. Reed. At the end of the movie he took leadership. More of that in the sequel. Reed is the leader, make it so.

4. Ben. I understand they want to change the Thing suit. I do not have a problem with that, but leave the head alone. It was perfect the way it was. They put a brow on it much of the facial expressions will be loss. The hands do need to be smaller, so Ben can make a fist. And the suit needs more work in post production this time. To take out wrinkles, ect. Also Ben needs more things, and bad things to clobber. More clobbering time for Ben.

5. Johnny. Perfect. Johnny and Ben's interaction. beyond perfect, more Ben and Johnny moments.

And once again we are behind you 100 %. :) Just give us a sequel that will knock out socks off, and don't forget the family aspect.

JMAfan one thing I have to say your consistant. You think everything, or any thread anyone post is dumb. Except yours. Chill out, and let others indulge themselfs.

This is a thread to give susgestions, so if the idea of giving susgestions is dumb, then this thread is dumb.

How can you really suggest anything when we don't even know what they are doing ?
The question part is more viable and important so i can see what Kel meant, notice she gave questions

I just think the word "hope" is much better than "suggestion"....if the script is written, the actors chosen, they are in Vancouver now....suggesting what should and should not be in the movie is pretty much null and void at this moment....BUT what we hope to see to me is a more correct way of putting it....so I gave questions in a way that (I know they may not be in the script, but are they?...lol) and my hopes for what I see....I just find it hard to think realistically that any suggestion I give is going to be heard and then used.....I'm not on the payroll...BUT my hopes can be heard and read....and thats all I can ask for....

General observations can always be given. I only have 1 Q. Will they be doing any filming before Aug. 15 th ? My other comments are given in earlier post in this thread.

It's not really giving suggestions it's more of a nice way to address complaints about the first film and also things you're "HOPING" are improved in the second. Scripts are always tweaked while filming and scenes are changed, etc...Nothing major will be changed but who knows one of us might just give them an idea they forgot about or never thought of which would be easy to do. It's a collective brain.
