Anybody watching this on Sci Fi? I know, I know! This is Sci Fi so more than likely it will suck but I'm giving it a chance. Anybody else?

Their mini-series always turn out to be great. So that's what I hoping for when I watch this.

The previous ones that were great in my eyes were Taken & The Lost Room.

I haven't heard of either one of those. But this is ok so far. They "ultimized" the Wizard of Oz. Who's the lady playing the witch? She looks familiar. As well as the Tin Man. I know Scarecrow is Allan Cummings right?

Looks like the beginning was good, then sucked big time, then the Tin Man came and it ROCKS!!! He's an awesome bad ass... and the preview for what's to come, alright, definitely staying tuned. And now the robot guy, awesome...

And don't forget the one about the Bermuda Trianlg a couple of years ago by Brian Singer.:cwink:

    ---------

And the original movies and original mini-series are completely different things, why? I have no idea. But the mini-series are typically always good to great. The movies flat out suck. Why this is, no idea... I find it odd that it's like that- but the mini-series are probably worked on for a long time whereas the original movies are just thrown together with no thought put into them.

I knew there was one with Katherine Bell. The Triangle, which was also very good, & 5ive Days to Midnight with Timothy Hutton.

it's pretty good so far. they changed some things and downplayed others, but I like the new stuff. The witch is hot. and I love the actress playing D.G. I forget her name but she was in Elf.

Yeah it was pretty good. I'm surprised cuase I've been pissed with Sci Fi for years now! You'd think they'd have more quality tv shows but they don't. Anyway, who's the girl who plays the witch? I can't remember what she played in before!

Sorry, but, here at least, she's terrible. Her lines are delivered as if she were in a high school play, and she shows no emotion whatsoever.

Seriously, she shouldn't have been so Blah about being in the cage that the Ewok-Munchkins put her in.

I did not catch it tonight but I do want to see it, I'll watch the replay. I saw a preview and it seems like it could be pretty good. Alan Cumming looks crazy as the scarecrow. :oldrazz:

Why do they call it "The O Z"...? Does that annoy anyone else?

Yeah the O Z thing bugs me as well, it's too close to sounding like the O.C. and that's what I think about every time they say it.

Agreed, Zooey is one of the worst actresses out there. Every time I see her I wonder what casting directors see in her. She has two emotions - blank stare and blank stare with wide eyes.

Was the Scarecrow/Glitch doing a little kung fu in that preview?
