So I moved a couple times and wasn't able to pick up Season 2 part 2 but now that I'm looking for it I find it's out of print. So I'm having to get it used from Amazon which is fine. But what does this mean for the other season? Did the company loose the rights?

4Kids has decided not to print any more TMNT 2k2 DVD's. Miraga Studios and 4kids are trying to either re-negociate or find another company that wants to put out the DVD's. SHOUT! Factory is rumored to be interested. Lion's Gate releases DVD's of the original 1987-1996 series. But as of now, yes, the post 2003 TMNT DVD's is out of print. Hopefully not for much longer. Mirage is putting out a 25th anniversary animated special, and whatever company gets to release that on DVD likely will get the rights to the rest of the show.

Thank you for your answer. It was very helpful. That is very sad though. I really want to finish my collection.

I want season three and first part of four. I have everything else. Well except Back to the Sewer but that isn't out on DVD yet.

So I called FYE to see if they had a copy of Season 2 part 2, they said yes. So I went. They had the Orginal Show not the new one grrrr

maybe you should have mentioned which version you were looking for soundsas though the clerk made an honest mistake

I was fine with it tell she looked at me like I was freaking ******ed for sugesting that it wasn't the one I was looking for and there was another series. She even told me flat out that there has been no other turtle series released on DVD

The mainstream person probably is not aware that there ever was a 2003 TMNT series. A retail DVD employee has to keep track of endless amount of stock and not everyone would recall stuff. It also has been almost 3 quarters since 4Kids sold a TMNT DVD of the newer animation. People can be adamant about something even when they are flat out wrong. Why do you think political debate usually is fruitless?

I do hope the 2003 series is re-released by whatever company gets the rights. To be blunt, in more ways than one I always thought the 2k3 TMNT series, at least before FAST FORWARD, was woefully ignored by the comic news media that covers virtually any X or Spider cartoon. It was often exceptional.

It was the being talked down to that made me mad. Like I didn't know what I was talking about or that I shouldn't be watching a cartoon. Very rude person.

It's like Raph said in the second TMNT film, "Whatever happened to service with a smile?" ;)

Maybe we can turn this thread into a positvie thing about how awsome the show was. What was your first experiance with it type of thing.

Resurrection like what! :awesome:

I've been watching this entire series again. It was so good. Even Fast Forward was pretty solid (although it would've been a lot better if the Turtles weren't forced to yell "it's ninja time!" at least 2 or 3 times per episode). I haven't actually watched Back to the Sewer all the way through (which is why I decided to re-watch the series in the first place), so I'm looking forward to that.

4kids seems to no longuer give a c**p about their shows once they end, the original Yu-Gi-OH is an example, they never released any DVD again and a copy of the ones they released now costs more than 100 dollars :(

Some speculate/hope that since Viacom bought the TMNT franchise outright from 4Kids, that they have the DVD rights to the 2k3 series and whenever they choose could re-release them with their frequent cartoon DVD sidekick, SHOUT! Factory. That company has released a few NICK owned properties and they usually do good work.
