The Simpsons arcade game was awesome.

It's such a shame that Konami made so many awesome beat 'em ups, and yet the only one that got a console port was Turtles in Time (the XBL remake of TMNT 1 not withstanding).

It would be great if Konami could work out a deal with EA and Activision to bring The Simpsons and X-Men to PSN and Xbox Live. Not sure if it'll ever happen, but hey, a guy can dream...

Who made the Avengers arcade game? And the Spider-Man and Punisher ones? I loved all those Marvel games back in the day.

Avengers and Spider-Man were both fun...as was the side scrolling Aliens game.

The Punisher arcade stuck out to me because it played like Streets of Rage and allowed you to control Nick Fury as player 2.

The Avengers was made by Data East. Bastards made a fighting game based on Operation Galactic Storm instead of a true sequel at the height of when everything was being made into a fighting game. It sucked hard and wasn't even ported to the home consoles.

Spider-Man was made by SEGA.

Punisher was made by Capcom.

Maybe there's hope for the Punisher game yet, then. I bet Spider-Man would go to the Virtual Console, if anywhere.

I wish they'd port Capcom's Alien vs Predator to XBLA. That game was extremely fun, and way better than the two mediocre AvP movies we gotten in recent years.

New TMNT Game Is 360 Timed Exclusive

Yay! More timed exclusives! Thanks, Microsoft. The latest title to piss off half the gaming world with a staggered release is one of the new Ninja Turtles games.

Given the name Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled, it's a modern remake of Konami's classic 1991 side-scrolling arcade title, and will be out worldwide on July 22. Well, it'll be out on Xbox Live Arcade on July 22. As for the PlayStation Network, all Ubisoft will say is that it'll be out "later this year".

Yep. I saw a video on GameTrailers of the top 10 arcade games. They mentioned the Simpsons and they said "There was a PC port but it was so bad we refuse to even show gameplay footage of it."

It was never ported to consoles so there's really no way to play it other than buying the arcade unit.
