The Dark Knight To Bleach or Not to Bleach? That is the Question

I agree that this version of the Joker could easily exist in the real world. Two-Face, on the other hand, could not, IMO. I just don't see how anyone could possibly survive such a horrific injury. I therefore don't understand why they'd make one of the villains so realistic that he could possibly exist, while the other villain couldn't possibly exist.

I thought about that myself, and I just wonder if Nolan went over the top with the Two Face look to send the message of how Gotham is falling into a true Batman comic freaksville.

Escalation? :woot:
That's actually probably true. But, then, to me, the Joker should be the ultimate escalation of crime in Gotham, I would prefer a more outlandish Joker, one who seems to defy reality. But I can see where and why Nolan went with this Joker.

I always liked that idea as well, like the Joker in Arkham Asylum. But it will be horrifying to see Harvey actually transform from a person into something grotesque. Harvey is a tragedy of man, which seems to symbolize the crime in Gotham more adequately than an outlandish Joker could.

The reason I remotely think permawhite is still an option is because in one of the previews, The Joker's tongue is white..... Care to explain that?

His tongue is pink except for what might be a little white on the side (or that could be the side of his mouth), or it could even be a piece of shrimp (ew!). But yeah I don't think it has anything to do with him being permawhite.

Where's the face palm GIF when you need it?

You've seen the concept art, right? I wasn't gonna show it, but I was gonna mention details of it that I wouldn't wanna spoil if you haven't seen it yet.

Me too.

:hehe:.

Does anyone have a pic of the cocept art for the Joker ? is there such a pic ? Im just curious as to how much has changed over the development of the movie.

Look, I have been a Batman fan longer than a lot of you guys have been alive, lol. Debate all you want. For me, Heath has supplanted Jack in my mind as the definitive live-action Joker. Hamill, however, remains the shiznit.

I believe this Joker does defy "reality" in almost every way. Yes he may not have the skin ;). But just watching all these clips and TV spots its clear that he stands out, and everyone else looks at him, in sadistic awe. He just truly stands out, as and outlander, of society, and people in general.

I've seen it and it's fairly close to the final product from what I've read.

Look at his hand, does it look a bit pale to anyone else?? Makes me wonder a bit.

Not one review by fan or by critic has mentioned this. I find it impossible to believe that he is anything except wearing make-up.

Well to be fair, no reviewer in their right mind would reveal any twists or plot spoilers.

Actually, everything looks whiter there - his neck is white, as well. If I didn't know better...

Well, I can't speak for the fan reviews, but as far as the critics go, a lot of them would probably just take it as read - if this were the case.

The best explanation, I believe, is that when you always wear gloves, your hands don't get enough sun and look very pale, maybe he gets freckles and hates them?

I know, but we've had plenty of fan reviews too, and non of them have mentioned it. And they've told us everything we've wanted to know so far, although I can't remember this particular question being asked, which is strange when you think of all the hours people have agonised over the point.

Yes.

The one thing I have never liked about the comic book Joker is that the whole permawhite has been too perfect. If you fell into toxin that turned you white, wouldn't there more likely be splotches of white, rather than solid white?

So... now that the movie is out, for those who saw it, what did y'all think of the Joker?
