The Dark Knight To Bleach or Not to Bleach? That is the Question

You mean 5%, not 95% right? Hell, I just read his posts a few seconds ago and I already don't like the guy. Mister J, ban this fool :hoboj:

I agree. I generally tend to think it's quite healthy to dislike someone because they don't have the same views as you. Disliking people because they look different to you is always a good reason as well. Different religion is probably up there in my top 3 reasons, it has to be said.

But yea, as I was saying, instantly taking an irrational dislike of someone because they don't think exactly the same thing you do is great.

If you'd like to pm me we could chat about some secret societies we could join?

If you're trying to be sarcastic, it's not working. The big reason not to like this guy is because he's basically saying it sucks and he has no basis or reasoning behind it. If he said he didn't like it and had a reason, that'd be fine. But he thinks his opinion is fact.

I can already tell you're a troll as well so I know you won't last here for very long.

The only reason I keep saying that I think both the scars and the permawhite are equal to this "monstrousness" state is because I have seen albino people, or people with pigment problems. And yes they look very different, but to me no different that bikers I see at work with massive scars on their faces. I think of course my good friend it is subjective and we have of course discussed that before ;)

But see I love your posts nicky they are so civil. I truly enjoy conversing with you.
Thanks.

It's just one of those things that's subjective. But I think there's a difference between your comparison of an albino, and someone with facial scars. Imagine someone chalk white, all over. Like a living corpse. Albinos are pale, I'm imagining someone plain white.

A full-body deformity like that, in my opinion, it isn't equal, visually, to the scars on his cheeks. Which, you must admist, in some images, are barely visible. For example, here:

I'll put it this way. Permawhite, you would notice that from across a room, in a crowd, what have you. Can you really say the same for the cut smile? I think the fact that the cops don't even notice him right in front of them at the funeral says something about their noticeability.

And, again, thanks for being civil about all this. Sometimes it seems we're the only ones :oldrazz:

People agreeing with him is perfectly fine, but not providing a reason why is not. It just becomes useless spamming.

He ruined a good discussion, too.

Even though some people actually agree with him?
You're missing the point, it's not about agreeing or diagreeing, it's about him being an ass. We can all be civil here, there's no need for being rude so don't try to make me seem like I want him banned because he may or may not disagree with my stance on it. I don't go around telling people they make me sick.

Not really. The 5% thing was a little too bombastic to be taken seriously. I'd say that this film has a 76% chance of success. Which these days is really something.

More or less, that's what I meant. That's why I said anyone who completely agrees with him is just as pathetic because all he's doing is spamming. When I see his name in a bigger movie than this is when he can completely say any actor in a movie like this sucks. Until then, he needs to have reasoning, otherwise he's just being a nuisance.

That was obviously hyperbole to get us riled up.

I'm sorry but logically he has every bit as much of a basis and reasoning for thinking that it will suck as you do for thinking that it'll kick ass. The way you're talking, by saying things like "anyone who agrees with him is pathetic" would lend credence to the view that you seem to think that your opinion is fact. You're both right and you're both wrong.

I'm not a troll, but I was obviously being sarcastic. And if you're allowed call people pathetic without any repercussions for saying that this film will suck, then i'm sure i'm going to be allowed to be sarcastic.

For the record, I think this will be the best comic book movie ever made. I just didn't appreciate the way you were treating that guy. He's entitled to his opinion.

As was said to Voltaire, I might disagree with him, but I will fight to the death for his right to say it.

It's not about him thinking the movie will be bad, it's about him completely dissing Heath Ledger's performance without any reasoning behind it.

Look I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but he could say exactly the same thing about you for praising his performance. You've both seen exactly the same footage!

And if you're saying that he needs to qualify his opinion with a reason, I think that's unfair. People give opinions on things all the time.

If i was to say, for example, that i like scarlett Johansson, i don't have to say why. It is what it is independently of reason - an opinion. A personal viewpoint. A very subjective thing.

That is completely different from this. Liking an actress and saying a new movie has an actor who completely "sucks" in a role are two different things.

Btw, what acting roles have you been in, Harmonica? None? I thought so.

What does that have to do with anything?

They're not that different actually. They're both unqualified opinions.

I think that the new romcom with Paris Hilton in it has an "actress" who will suck. Does that make me every bit as pathetic as him?

I don't get it. If you can tell that guy that he's not allowed speculate that an actor will suck in a role, why are you allowed say that he won't suck???

You've both seen the same footage. I don't understand what makes your opinion better than his?

You're correct. He, and everyone else for that matter, is entitled to express their opinion, regardless of how far removed it is from majority opinion. However, what he is not entitled is to enter various forums in a transparent attempt to tick people off, in some ridiculous pursuit of 'internet kewl' or to simply just be an ass.

Singular remarks along the lines of "this sucks", "he's not very intelligent" and 'this is overrated' don't indicate support of an unpopular opinion. They indicate someone simply looking to cause trouble, realizing what the reaction will be from other posters. Consequently, he's gone; in no small part due to his having another user name, which has drawn probation as well. The things some people do when they get bored are puzzling.

Enough of that foolishness and back to The Great Makeup Debate. :joker:
