I need to hit up some garage sales so I can get good deals on comic books. There's this one on Sunday that I'm thinking about checking out.
Hell no...I need to talk you into buying me one.
I never have good luck with yard sales anymore. I got a number of Star Wars comics at one years ago, but otherwise, I miss yard sales from the 90's, when I could find Ghostbusters and Aliens figures among other things. Of course I'd really like to happen upon some Jurassic Park items, but I don't see them come up often anymore either.
Hell no...
I used to do that. That's how I got all my Ghostbusters and TMNT toys.
Jurassic Park stuff goes for crazy prices for some reason. There's a collectors shop near me that has the figures on card priced up at £20 - £50 each. I mean I know how much a toy can be worth, but Jurassic Park figures? Seriously?
Really??!! I believe I can get Jurassic Park figures MOC for a considerable good price.
Yeh, but I'm talking humans to dinosaurs here. No one in their right mind is paying £50 for an Alan Grant toy...
I got my comics in digital format, saves me time in finding them, and at least gives me hope I won't accidentally pull off a page in rage
I love printed format comics though, when I do have a printed comic I have some comfort I can't have as well with digital format
It happened a few times while reading a book and something else suddenly popping to mind and stickingThat happens a lot then?
It happened a few times while reading a book and something else suddenly popping to mind and sticking, thankfully not too often
I don't intentionally rip it, I hold it in rage for a while, then see the result of the long grab with sorrowI've thrown books in rage before. Never ripped anything...
Sometimes I suddenly wonder "what if I just destroyed this?" about things. But I never do...
I kinda wanna go see it .. but then, me 'friad. Chickens like me wait for the Netflix.Saw PACIFIC RIM this afternoon...fun movie.
anybody COULD, this won't even be the first time it'll have been stark (see next avengers), but it cheapens the character. without pym ultron is just a generic evil robot. with pym ultron is hubris, the evil twin, and ultimate corruption personified.I couldn't care less about Hank Pym, so I couldn't care less about him being in the Avengers sequel or creating Ultron. Stark could easily do that in the MCU anyway.
It's gonna be a good movie, so that's all I care about.
The panic is predictably hilarious.
which is exactly why it doesn't work. it doesn't have the same impact because ironman is old hat at it.Um...ultron could still embody all of that. Mcu tony is a monument to hubris and arrogance lol.

it's like using the joker without batman; sure you could, but why would you? everything about joker is informed by batman
