The first one was epic.

This one looks to be legendary.

I don't own a next gen console but the day this comes out i'm buying either a 360 or ps3 + this game.. haven't decided on the console yet.

I'm leaning towards ps3 because of the blu-ray... although i am a previous 360 owner and was very happy.. but no blu-ray...

We've got this preordered and had it that way for ages. Love the first game, though i've not been able to get past the big cavern bit right near the end (Makes mental note to get that done before the new game appears), but i do hope they improve the online stuff.

I can't tell you how many times i've been booted from games for having one red dot... despite having a good connection between the 360 and the router

Eh i dont know how to feel about this game. I LOVED the first one, but this seems to be Rainbow Six : Vegas 1.5. It just looks like the exact same game. I know ill give it a try to check out the new MP features, but im not as gung-ho for this game as i was the 1st.


Also, shouldnt this be in the misc section?

Eh i dont know how to feel about this game. I LOVED the first one, but this seems to be Rainbow Six : Vegas 1.5. It just looks like the exact same game. I know ill give it a try to check out the new MP features, but im not as gung-ho for this game as i was the 1st.

Most sequels are like that though, they use the same engine, just add some new features, since it's continuing the same storyline, I don't have a problem with it. I wouldn't want a radically different game style for this one. The development team has said this will be the last Vegas game, so the next Rainbow Six is when you'll get a "newer" experience.

That said though, I can't wait for the game! Thought Vegas 1 was great, Vegas 2, while somewhat the same looks just as good.

Why'd you sell the X-Box in the first place? I really don't understand the obsession with Blu-Ray, I really don't see it making the leap from early adoptors/PS3 owners to the main stream.

I don't know...I haven't even finished the first one, and this one looks like more of the same.
I might just stick with CoD4.

I''m the same...I buy a computer console to play games.....and for that, any neutral person will tell you the 360 is the one for that. I mean, every nomination for Game of The Year last year was for a 360 game, and about half of those were exclusives.

Im the most non-biased gamer in the world. I see the "potential" of the PS3, especially with Blu-Rays enabling game developers to put more stuff on a single CD (even though so far, it hasnt really made a difference in the quality of games), and I will EVENTUALLY get a PS3 when I feel Sony have done enough to win me over, but at the moment, their catalogue is soooo far behind the 360s, its embarrassing.

Ha me either! I still cant get past the level where you're on the stage at the opera house/theater.The bad guys start repelling from the ceiling, I die,..Then I get frustrated and put it away for another week.

I'm stuck at the point where you're trying to finally kill that women... and i have been for probably a year.

I do what you do Ed, i take a few goes every now and again to kill her then i get anoyed and the game gets put away for a bit untill i decide to have another attempt.... and so on and so on.

Vegas 2 rocks!! I love the updated Killhouse, and now if you liked "Streets'' you can download it for free. Just mostly played Multiplayer, I'm goin to start on single story mode next. But I hear it's better than the first one.

Damn, I've been playing way too much Call of Duty, couldn't readjust to Vegas 2 controls last night and it resulted in getting my @$$ handed to me on X-Box Live.

Vegas 2 is still good though, played through the first level on single player and a couple matches on multiplayer, just need to readjust to the controls. Probably should've played a little of the first Vegas over the weekend to remember how to play the game.

I picked up the game at 2pm yesterday afternoon and, apart from 2 hours between 6pm & 8pm, i've been doing the single-player story mode on Casual.... and i've only just finished.

Absolutely loved it, especially how they intertwined it with the first game.

Now i'm going to collapse for ten hours

This game feels a lot more fun with the online/offline leveling up. MmMMmmmm.

I love the multiplayer too, and it was nice of the devs to hook you up for your progress from your first time around in Vegas, I was rockin' that helicopter helmet lol,

The great thing about multiplayer = the more you move, the more accuracy you lose. Everytime I come across somebody they're running all over the f**king place and their bullets are flying all around me, as I slowly take 'em down in like, 4 shots. HAWtT.

Hated rainbow 6 vegas, dumbed down console game, didn't even bother finishing it, Rainbow six 3: Raven Shield was when rainbow 6 ended as far as I'm concerned, it's now a generic shooter game aimed at 14 year old halo and gears of war players.

I have to agree. I liked Rainbow Six when it was actual tactical missions - Like the whole mission is on a boat (for example), and you have to map out who goes where, what routes to go etc.
These games at the moment lead you down a path of destiny - Its very one-way. They need to make Rainbow Six single player maps totally open. The game needs more atmosphere...It needs to have no music.....It just needs to be the gamer, and his senses. The whole feeling of stealth/infiltration is gone, and needs to come back.

I do enjoy the new versions, but its definitely dumbed down.

On the new version - I CANT SAY HOW MANY TIMES I'VE PRESSED 'B' THREW A GRENADE, AND BLEW UP MY TEAMMATES. I just cant get used to the buttons coming from Call of Duty 4.....And it doesnt help when I keep playing CoD4 online in between my Rainbow Six single player game. Aaaarrrgghhh!!

Yeah, it's pretty messed up when the campaign feels like Terrorist Hunt with a sloppy story slathered on.

I'm still having fun with it though, the whole A.C.E.S. thing is shweeeeet. I don't mind dying a million times on Realistic now because even when you respawn you still get to keep your XP progress.

Yeah, I've only played a couple times since getting it, but having a real hard time adjusting to the controls just because I've played CoD too much. I planned to sit down and actually play the game this weekend when I was at my dad's for Easter, brought the X-Box and game over, left CoD at home to take away that temptation, but once I got there realized I forgot my controller, so no video game playing after all.

I've played (and loved) every Rainbow Six game to date, and "dumbed down" or not, Rainbow Six Vegas is my favorite. Vegas 2's single played blew, but the multiplayer is fun at least.

Yea, its a fun shooter. Its a nice change of pace from the run and gun Call of Duty 4.

honestly they could have just released a patch for the first game and it would have been the same as vegas 2
