Loki just ain't Loki without the giant horns. That's one of the very few drawbacks to Simonson's run on the comics: he took the horns away and gave Loki fake wing thingamawhatsits on his headgear.

Loki doesn't wear the hormed helmet at first, but dons it in the third act. My memories of it are foggy, but I believe it's something like, after staging Odin's death (passing off him falling into the Odinsleep as him dying) he is made acting King of Asgard in Odin's stead, and Karnilla makes him the horned helmet as ceremonial attire for his crowning.

The plot already seems to have changed substantially though, so this will likely have changed.

Now that my friend, is bad ass. From Siege: Loki ain't it? Great issue that was.

But like i've said before, i think Loki should have a few wardrobe changes. Like some lavish outfit when he is in the presence of the other Asgardians. I've always felt he is always trying to impress them in someway you know? Trying to compensate for the fact that he isn't truly one of them. Plus, he is a bit of a sycophant to his father.

The black nail polish is not my favorite. I'm not sure why Coipel went with that. But otherwise, I love the furry costume.

Fun fact: There was a girl dressed up as the female Loki advertising Free Comic Book Day at my shop today. It was awesome.

It definitely erred more toward the second pic than the first. It was a really cheap-looking costume and it didn't even have the skirt, just pants. But it was still cool that they even had anyone dress up to advertise. That's way more than any other comic shop I've gone to would do.
