whats the point of releasing it on Xbox LIVE and as a retail version? Why would anyone want to download it when you can get a hard copy that you can take anywhere and use on any system?
That still makes no sense to me. Its still going to be the game, whether its bundled with another or not, which is better for the consumer but even if that wasnt the case, it could still stand on its ownBecause the retail version of Anniversary isn't gonna be a full fledged retail copy of the game. It's gonna be a special edition of Legend on the 360 with Anniversary bundled with it. Plus, it's not coming out until after it's out on XBL.

I thought you said it was going to have graphical upgrades? No, it couldn't. The graphics for the 360 version of Anniversary aren't on-par with 360 Legend. If they just sold it at retail as a stand alone game, it would get a lot of criticism for its lack of Next-Gen Legend-quality graphics. People would consider it a step down from Legend.

Keir_Eidos said:Obviously running on the 360 allows us to take better advantage of HD capable displays. We have replaced the original textures with Hi-Res versions, as well as upping the quality of our character models. We have placed in real-time lighting and shadows, helping us round out the graphical options of the game. For the true Tomb Raider fan we have included additional achievements which will test their skills as they proceed through the game.
