But it's not a conflict of interests at this point. SHIELD is now the primary overseer of the world's registered superhuman population. They'd probably appreciate the unique insight into the world of superhumans that Tony's being Iron Man affords.

i think i would rather see a japanese rival rather than a japanese tony. I just think that would keep some of the ironman purists from causing trouble around here. I do like the idea of a more japanese style suit! The idea has a lot of merit. It would be great if a rival corp built their own suit to directly compete with stark ind, maybe even made it for mass production. think of the problems that could cause

Actually, Stark can easily remote control several suits at once very effectively now, so there's no reason for him to step down as Iron Man.

So what, is Tony going to play his armor like videogames now, while he's at his shield desk nice and safe?

If you read his Argonaut stint in his own comic, you'd see that him even running subconcious armours can be extremely powerful.

And really, what's the problem with him staying safe? If he dies out in the field due to a miscalculation, the world would be worse for it. If he loses a "drone", he could learn and compensate for round two. Heros should be so lucky to have this chance.
