So E3 was a big hit for Sony this year, no doubt about it. Now that we've seen new games and a ton of new content on the ones we already knew about, what are you looking forward to the most? Doesn't have to be exclusive or anything, just wanted to know what you guys are looking forward to the most.
10. Metal Gear Solid Rising - Feels weird, this game not being at the top of my list. But there are a number of things holding it back. First is the lack of any real trailer, then there's the fact its a new team working on it, and not forgetting Hideo Kojima has made it more than clear he doesn't approve of the game. However, its a new console Metal Gear. It'll be great gameplay wise I'm sure.
9. Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier - We didn't see much coverage at the show, but that doesn't change the fact this is the sequal to my favorite platforming seires of all time (or game anyway, I'm not a huge fan of Jak 2 and 3, but the original is fantastic).
8. White Knight Chronicles - Uncertainty holds this RPG back from getting higher on the list. Will it offer us a rock solid RPing experience, if a bit typical of Japanese gaming? Or will we see more. I'm personally hoping it raises the bar for console RPGs after a slew of mediocre Square RPGs last year.
7. Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time - This game didn't get anywhere near the gameplay blowout it deserved. It would have taken Sony 2 minutes to show an exciting new trailer for the masses, but instead all we got was Brain Allgier recycling the same points over and over again. Its going to be an incredible game that will fill the hole left in my heart with the current series cliffhanger. Plus it looks gorgeous.
6. Super Mario Galaxy 2 - A sequal to the highest rated exclusive this gen... and it isn't being talked about anywhere near as much as I thought it would. This will be awesome, there's no doubt about that. I just hope they make it a difficult experience this time round.
5. Modern Warfare 2 - See, we've hit this relatively sweet spot that every 2 years we see an Infinity War shooter, a new Uncharted, and a new Ratchet come out all at the same time. In a fight for my money, Modern Warfare 2 will win out, because its too far away from Christmas to wait for. I look forward to U2 more, but that'll have to wait till Christmas I'd imagine.
4. Demon's Souls - Just made a thread on it. This is ultra hardcore, elite gaming at its finest. An obscure, sure to be compelling game that every needs to try, but few will.
3. The Last Guadrian - Team ICO deliver something incredible everytime they make a game, this isn't going to be an exception. If the bird thing dies though I'll be pissed off.
2. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Uncharted 1, what can we say? You're very nearly perfect, creating a completely unqiue and thrilling feel for any gamer that is lucky enough to play you. We love yo-- Sequal?! Helicopters!? Outta my way!
1. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker - Oh wait, an MGS game IS at the top of my list! Kojima sold me on this game the moment he said "sequal" or "1970" or "Naked Snake" or "PSP", any of these words would have been enough. Portable OPS is an incredible game that I've played time and time again. This time we're getting Kojima style direction, and much better graphics. This is my most anticipated game right now.
Honourable mentions:
MotorStorm: Arctic Edge - Always loved MotorStorm, a lot more than other people seemingly after 2's poor reception. This is going to be a great PS3-fest.
God of War 3 - Sits at the 11 spot. I know, you must think I'm crazy. But consider it crazy I'm even looking forward to this game at all.
Dead Rising 2 - A game that everyone should try out I think. It'll offer a completely new experience for PS3 owners.
Quantum - PS3's answer to Gears of War. Not completely sold, but completely interested.
Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising - Again nearly made the list. This is another ultra hardcore game that should be getting more attention than it is.
Metroid: Other M - Lost is position after I remember The Last Guy. Its still going to be awesome, I've never found a Metroid game I really loved but the universe fascinates me. This could be the combination of gameplay and setting that wins me over.
