Top 5 most iconic scenes from all Batman movies

B89:
Batman crashing through the skylight and subsequent rescue.

Batman rising up after having been shot/"he's human after all" (love the criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot subtext)

Jack picks up his gun, turns...and Batman's gone. (Especially that little music segment)

Batman freeing himself from the Batwing's wreckage and ascending the cathedral.

Batman Returns:
Bruce standing and really coming to life as the batsignal comes on in his house.

BB:
Gordon turning and Batman's gone. True, I liked it in B89 better, but this was the first time the bit was shown between these two.

(OK, so that was more than 5.)

1. 89 ending

2. Joker's emergence

3. Staircase descension in BB

4. Opening descension in 89

5. Batman trying to save Joker before he falls in the vat of chemicals. (also the part where Joker stuck his hand out of the chemicals).

Hands down these are my ten most most Iconic "scenes" from all 5 Batman movies.

The one scene that most thouroughly captures the entire essence of Batman and his mythos, was the last and greatest scene out of any and all Batman films thus far.

1) BEGINS: "What about escelation? .... And you'll never have to."

THAT is Batman. Selfless at heart, and a hero is born. What a final scene to end on. Way to build emotion and momentum for the next film, with the hint and introduction to the Joker. Just for me, that was the most pure Batman scene I've ever seen. No filler here, that is pure Batman CRACK. Gordon hands Batman a Joker card, and Bruce for the first time in words commits his life to fighting this evil. Then in epic fashion, jumps off the roof of the GPD building and glides down over Gotham towards the screen on giant bat-wings. The legend BEGINS...

2) B89: "I'm Batman."

3) B89: "Wait till they get a load of me."

4) B89: The Finale. Batman standing over the rooftops of Gotham, staring at the Bat-symbol.

5) B89: "Where are we going?" (Decent into Mystery)

6) BEGINS: "I tried to save Gotham ... I failed.... Why do we fall, sir?"

7) BEGINS: "It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."

8) Returns: "What are you waiting for? ... the SIGNAL!!!"

9) BEGINS: "Rebuild it ... just the way it was ... brick for brick."

I truly dig Bruce scenes. And BEGINS was the one film who truly gave us insight into his psyche. This scene specifically is awesome. His interactions, and memory of his father and wanting to make his dead father proud echoes deep within the same feelings I have as a person. I can relate to that strong father / son bond. The fact that it ties in the theme of accepting a legacy, and Bruce's attitude changes and realizes what his place is now. To pick up where his father left off in trying to be the healer to the city. His dad was a doctor, and that is what the stethoscope represents. Touching moment.

10) Returns: The Returns Finale. "Good will towards men ... and women."

Catman, dude, I'm with you 100000000000%!!!!!!! That scene is Forever, I LOVE IT! Its just so, OMG! Like whatever you do to Batman, he will never die, he will always be there. Now, I love all the Batman movies, it's just that no one seems to mention it as a GREAT scene, and I'm happy Catman did. I'll come up with a Top 10 list from all movies another time.

B&R - Batman crashes through skylight, lands on dinosaur head, and looks at Freeze and says, "Hi, Freeze. I'm Batman."

Woo, yeah!

Awesome.:oldrazz:

Though after enough views you admit it has a cheese-factor that's off the scale, I couldn't help but get goosebumps from this scene:

------------------

Batman Forever:

Gordon - He's not coming...Shut it down.

The officer at Gordon's side moves to shut off the Bat Signal. Slowly, Gordon looks up into the skies above Gotham to meet the slow building roar of an approaching jet engine. He throws up a gesture to the officer.

Gordon - Wait a minute...WAIT A MINUTE...

Slowly, Gordon's theory is realized as he gives a small smile.

Without warning, the Batwing slices through the Riddler-ized signal, returning it to its former glory as Elliot Goldenthal's "Batman Theme" kicks into overdrive. Gordon cheers on his high flying ally.

GORDON - YEAH!!! YEAH, GO! GO!

Batman gives Gordon a confirmin glance from afar, and juts out a thumb as he goes off to save Gotham. Gordon ushers his impending victory onward.

GORDON - GO, GO!!!

Beaming, Gordon shakes the hand of the officer as Batman and Robin speed off by sea and air towards Nygma's Claw Island.

CFE

sorry...double post.

The Jokers hand reaching out from the chemicals, his glove melting off, fingernails dark green. This image scared the bejeeesus out of me much more than the violence or the scarred girlfriend or anything else in the film.

Catwoman sitting on top of Batman.

The Batmobile driving through country roads and into Gotham.

Batman standing in front of the computers in his cave.

The Joker trashing the art gallery

In no order:

1. Keaton's "I'm Batman" at the beginning of Batman
2. Batman crashing through skylight and rescuing Vicky Vale in Batman
3. Batmobile driving Vicky Vale back to the Batcave with the score blasting
4. Batman looking at the Batsignal at the end of Batman
5. Batman's first appearance in Begins, taking out the thugs at the dock and subsequent "I'm Batman"

Batman '89- The "I'm Batman" scene.

Batman '89- Batman crashing through the museum skylight to rescue Vicki.

Begins- The scene at the end when Gotham is falling apart and they show Batman suiting up, and the batmobile comes flying out of the cave.

Begins- The scene at the end when Commissioner Loeb tells Gordan that "There's nobody left to send," and the batmobile flies past him in the background.

Begins- The scene where Bruce finds out that Rachel is going to Arkham, and they show him go through the secret passageway, down the elevator to the cave, and right to the cabnet that the batsuit is in. It was exciting.

I forgot two great scenes:

Begins-The rooftop scene at the end.

MOTP- The scene at the gravesite, when Bruce begs his dead parents to let him go back on his promise.

As much as I disliked Schumacher's stuff, I did love when Two Face says "Why Can't you Just Die" as Batman comes out from the fire.

umm wow wheres all the brilliant scenes from returns? particulary:

The whole scene where Selena loses it in her apartment and creates the suit then in the end we see the shadowy figure in her room "I dont know about you Ms. Kitty but I feel...so my yummier."-HOT

Max meeting the Penguin in the sewers: I believe the word your looking for is...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Catwoman: "You killed me, the penguin killed men, batman killed me, thats three lives down you think you got enough in there to finish me off!

max: only one way to find out

*shoots*

Catwoman: "four, five STILL ALIVE!"

oh and the part where catwoman drags max out of the cage and then he goes

i cant get you anything..money..jewls..and very big ball of yarn

blood max

blood? i give blood

half pint im talking gallons...

RETURNS RULES!

I think Returns has the most iconic imagery and I haven't really seen too many addressing these scenes:

1. Catwoman looking at the Bat Signal
2. Bruce and Selina dancing/learning each other's true identity.
3. Batman soaring above Gotham Plaza with a swarm of bats.
4. Catwoman strangled by Penguin's umbrella, flying above the city.
5. Batman/Penguin scene..."things change"
6. Penguin's attack at Shreck's masquerade gala.
7. Catwoman licking Batman under the misletoe.
8. Bruce in the study, Bat Signal shining through the window.
9. Penguin rising from the sewer with the Mayor's baby.
10. Batman dropping ziplining towards Selina and Shreck as Penguin's hideout is exploding.

Just a few for now.

Really hard to narrow it down to five. But I did it. Also with honorable mentions.

5. "My God!" - Batman: Mask of the Phantasm

This scene, when Bruce has no other choice in life but to become Batman, the moment where he finally does it is spine chilling and deeply saddening.

4. "What are you waiting for? The Signal!" - Batman Returns.

The Bat Signal flashing on in Bruce Wayne's study, showing us that he does nothing with his life except wait to serve his city is a powerful image. In a scene with no dialogue, it shows just how driven and selfless Bruce Wayne is: that he would gladly put his life on pause for the city, that his personal enjoyment doesn't matter.

3. "He gave us a Signal!" - BATMAN.

The final image of Batman watching over the city with the Bat Signal on in the background, with Elfman's tremendous music just says it all.

2. "And you'll never have to." - Batman Begins.

Notice the theme with the Bat Signal? This scene beautifully goes into the points that Burton only touched upon and expounds on them. My favorite scene in the film.

1. "I'm Batman!" - BATMAN.

This scene did it. For the general populace that still hadn't been convinced that Batman was serious stuff (first by Denny O'Neal and Neal Adams, then by Frank Miller), this scene did it. It finally told the audience in a clear, definitive voice that Adam West was not the way you look at Batman. That Batman was now a dark, sinister creature of the night who hurt thugs and had them spread the word for him. That he was serious about saving Gotham.

Honorable mention:

"Some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb!" - Batman.

Despite the campy approach to it, when you look at the actual idea behind the scene, it's that Bruce was willing to risk his life to get rid of that bomb, to complete avoid the bomb hurting ANYONE but himself.

"The scum's getting jumpy because you stood up to Falcone." - Batman Begins.

Particularly the scene of Batman perched on the rooftops on his second night
out is iconic, but the ensuing scene with Gordon is perfection.

"Selina.... we're the same." - Batman Returns.

Bruce pleading with Selina to let him save her was incredibly tragic. The fact that he tried and couldn't save her is powerful, powerful stuff. Keaton and Pfeiffer's acting was just spot-on, and your heart aches for the two who want to be together, but can never be.

"It Should have been you!" - Batman Forever.

I love this scene. Dick's getting his ass kicked and then Bruce shows up, instantly making the gang members **** their pants and run, and Bruce is completely calm in the face of Dick's anger, owning him with a simple statement. "If Bruce Wayne could have given his life for your parents, he would have."

There's others, but I'm too lazy to type them out. :oldrazz:
