I think Two-Face's speech about luck at the beginning of Forever is a very nice moment--actually very reminiscent of the speech Two-Face made in TAS. Alas, Tommy Lee Jones got "comedic" in a hurry and that kind of killed it for me.

Actually, all of the villains had introductions that were very indicative of their character, at least in the first three. Joker killing Grissom while a waltz is playing, Catwoman going on a playful rampage in Shreck's, the Penguin looking up at Gotham through bars, Two-Face's speech, the Riddler...yeah.

I thought Penguin's intro was when we first see him feeding his penguins in his lair. "Hi. I believe the word you're looking for is AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!".

Before that, he was draped in shadows, much like Joker was in the scene in the surgery when he removes his bandages and sees his scarred faced.

Until they reveal the scarred side of his face, it's one of the coolest, best acted scenes in BF. I love it on another, comedic value, because it tricks you into thinking that Two Face is going to be perfect!

Honestly, the Luck speech is how Two Face needs to be played. Until he starts acting campy, he's awesome.

I really do think Tommy Lee Jones could of been the perfect two-face, as for the Riddler, Jim was never going to be the perfect comic Riddler, but I still liked his version all the same.

I agree, Tommy Lee Jones is a great actor. It was Schumacher's direction and Sam's dialogue that made it laughable. I did like the part before his scarred side is revealed.

"Are you a gambling man"

Sam? As in Sam Hamm? He, like Burton and Keaton, had nothing to do with the films post-Returns.

I'd say blame for anything script related goes directly to Akiva Goldsman; though Lee and Janet Scott Batchler wrote the first draft for "Forever" as well.

Aside from that I agree whole heartedly. Personally, I would've loved to see Billy Dee's take on Two-Face, but oh well...Eckhardt better get it right. And while Nolan's desire for realism means no "BB" Freeze or Ivy, I wish a decent actor and actress, respectively, would come in and do justice to those characters that Arnold and Uma took away.

Yeah, that's who I meant, not sam. My mistake.

Thank you DocLathropBrown for the reminder.
The original Batman serials:
1 Bruce Wayne in disguise telling a group of gangster thugs about how he stumbled into the Batman's lair. How stoic and fearsome he looked.
2 A full on shot of Batman and Robin swinging in and crashing through a closed window.

I completely agree. Freeze is one of my top 3 villains! But ya know Ben Kingsly has expressed some serious interest in playing Freeze. I for one would love to see him play the character! And though I've read of people backing her for Selina Kyle, Rose McGowen strikes me as a good Ivy. I have an easier time seeing her as the "No man can resist me" character than I do seeing her as Selina.

Another reason to praise TAS--they got it right almost every single time (Catwoman as animal-protector kind of threw me). Two-Face had his comedic moments, but they weren't from the character himself being silly and stupid.

"Half of me wants to strangle you."
-"And the other half?"
"Hit you with a truck!"

And he was such a contrast from Harvey Dent (which they did a very nice job of building up, BTW) that you could actually buy his split personality-- unlike the "silly/straight" thing "Harvey Two Face" apparently had going on. (God, I hated that name)

1) Joker destroying the Museum to the beat of Prince.
2) The Flashback in Return of the Joker
3) Shark Reppelent
4) Swear to me.
5) Rooftop Ending for BB

Honorable Mentions:
1) Bruce puts on the mask for the first time MOTP
2) Mr. Freeze forcing his goons to sing Mr. White Christmas.
3) I'm Batman= 89
4) Joker killing Bob the Goon
5) I'll play this city like a harp from hell.

Two-Face's entire opening speech about luck was terrific - it's just Tommy Lee Jones over-played it to death (he pretty much shouted the whole thing).

I believe Schumacher told Jones not to shadow Mr Jim Carrey. I think movie should been called: "The Riddler Begins" or "Forever"

Those are most iconic scenes?

I don't think I saw the "Why do we fall" quote on anybody's list, shocking.

I haven't seen the '89 film in a long time, so I don't remember much, but here goes:

1) End of the film, with Batman standing in front of the Bat signal
2) Batplane in front of the moon
3) Suiting up and slowly lifting his head right before he goes after Joker
4) Beating up the thugs and very menacingly saying 'I'm Batman'.

Begins:

1) At the end, saying 'And you'll never have to.' then gliding over the rooftops. STILL makes me :woot: and gives me chills :word:
2) Pulling Falcone out of the limo and growling 'I'm Batman'.
3) Grabbing Flass by his ankle and pulling him up and dropping him on the ground and scaring him (and the audience) ****less :woot:
4) Crashing through the train window and staring Ra's Al Ghul right in the eye.

Bruce sitting in his chair at the beggining of Returns when the sportlight shines up in the sky.

The Batplane crashing through the clouds and hovering in front of the moon before diving back down in B89.

Bats emerging from the Fire unscathed in Forever.

Bats interrogating Flass in Begins.
