Top Cow's "The Darkness"

I was looking through DC's solicits for July this year, and saw a TC/DC crossover with the main guy from The Darkness on it. Thought he looked pretty badss, anyone ever read any of the comics that can lemme know if they're any good or not? I went to TC's website and read through the first issue (of what volume I have no idea) and it was decent.

Also, anyone know if this is getting a relaunch soon? I know theres a game being made based on it, but I noticed that the comic series hasn't shipped a new issue since october 06.

Is the series getting a reboot anytime soon? Or should I just go grab all the trades (or single issues if they're priced ~normal, I prefer singles more than trades =/) I can?

It's bein' rebooted last I heard.
