Age of Extinction Transformers 4 for 2013

No Megatron. No Starscream. No Soundwave. Is there any point in making another one under the same continuity? DOTM closes out with the Decepticon wiped out and the Autobots at peace.....

No Shockwave either, what a pointless addition he was!

BUT, there are other enemies they could use, Thunderwing using a similar storyline to Stormbreaker would make an awesome movie with a new bad guy.

Technically speaking, Unicron is still out there.

Yeah new villains for Transformers 4!

Did Shockwave have any dialogue?

He was barely in the movie.

I have to admit, while I'd prefer a reboot, I am captivated by the idea of them giving the obscure Decepticon leaders chance to shine.

I want Sharkticons in the sequels. Ravenous piranha like sharkticons.

The Arielbots and The Stunticons should be in Transformers 4.
Also some triple changers.

The Quintessons could be villains, then Optimus will have a field-day.

Megatron dying in DOTM paves the way perfectly for Galvatron to appear in Transformers 4. Similar to Megatron, but even more crazy and evil.

Will he be the same Galvatron - reincarnated by Unicron from Megatron's battered body - as in the original Transformers movie and comic line? I think it would be a good way to go.

In fact, I'd find it plausible that all the spatial disturbances and anomalies associated with the space bridge being activated in DOTM were somehow detected by Unicron, and he's now on a path to Earth.

Megatron's body may have been taken off-planet or ejected into space by the Autobots, after dumping him in the sea at the end of TF1 they learnt their lesson when he swiftly re-appeared.

Shockwave never talked.

I know he should have. Bay is just stupid that way.

He should have.

I think it was a missed oppurtunity on their part not to have Shockwave be the one that made the deal with Sentinel instead of Megatron. Then proceding to overthrow Megatron as leader of the Decepticons. Who would then spend rest of the movie on his own trying to get leadership back. That way both characters would've gotten better roles than what they got. Plus, we could've seen an Optimus/Megatron vs. Sentinel/Shockwave fight.

I would've liked the same thing.

Tons of characters still to use, depends how quick Transformers 4 comes out I guess. If it takes them 5 years just reboot. But yeah sucks those characters are toast. They all kinda went down lame.

I think the Thunderwing storyline from Stormbringer would be perfect to adapt to a movie, you could still have Megatron in there in the flashbacks, and we get a new villain who is pretty damn powerful, throw Bludgeon in there as well and we get an interesting new storyline.

This was what I was expecting and would have been much MUCH better than what we got in the movie, Shockwave was useless, Optimus took him out with one punch, sigh. He had such an awesome entrance to the movie as well.

I think something like that could work. I also like Straxus and wouldn't mind seeing him as well.

If I were planning out a new trilogy, I'd say introduce Straxus as the new Decepticon leader with Thunderwing as his second-in-command. Then after he's defeated, have Thunderwing rise to the occassion in TF5 with the Stormbringer storyline. Then TF6 can bring in Unicron with Galvatron as his herald.

Just my own personal opinion strictly because I am a G1 fan is to reboot the transformers and refine the original Origins story from the early episodes and make it fresh from there. The transformers world is so deep that there are lots of potential to make far deeper meaningful stories. Everything doesn't need to be set on earth.
I personally enjoyed the first Michael Bay transformers but I believe that the last two has really affected the potential of creating deeper stories in the transformers lore.

Straxus is a pretty cool villain also, I believe he also was always at odds with Megatron from what I remember. I personally dont think you could do the Stormbringer storyline if Thunderwing was a second in command in the 4th movie, as in that storyline Thunderwing is a big reason why Cybertron is a mess and his comeback from the past is a big part of the storyline.
