Age of Extinction Transformers 4 is going to be AWESOME. - Part 1

DotM's trailer felt like it was going to be better than what it turned out, looked even better than Extinction's to be honest.

That shot of Optimus Prime riding Grimlock has pretty much beaten everything about DotM already.

Just saw a commercial for the new Age of Extinction toys, and yes Grimlock does have a robot form.

The toy does have a Bot mode for Grimlock but, unless the toy advert showed a CGI Bot mode for him, I don't believe he has one in the movie...

Or at least, we've not been shown he has one.

Meh, it's not great. Catchy chorus but nothing special.

Critics are miserable buggers... They only like a movie if it's long, slow and boring.

:whatever: Drive and many other films were around 90 minutes long and were well liked. Maybe you should try actually watching the films they say are good, and actually read their criticism.

Red Letter Media has some great arguments in my opinion, i enjoy Bay's style when it comes o entertainment, but his films pretty much scream in your faces, with the effects driving the story, instead of the oposite.

We were talking about "good story" or serious, people were talking about how it seemed like DotM would be so dark, and now some are saying the same for this film, even though it actually looks cheesier from the trailers.

I was not talking about the special effects or scale, like at all, but if you go some pages back, you'll see some complaining about the special effects not being as photo realistic as they were in the previous films.

I have... And nine times out of ten I've found them to be slow and boring with characters that have been completely uninteresting to me.

Like what? Critics don't have the right to complain when a film is constantly unpleasent to their sences?

Critics tend to prefer a MATURE, well-acted movie like X-men: Days Of Future Past or Hunger Games or Dark Knight or Lord Of The Rings (Original). Long, slow and boring has nothing to do it.

Until Transformers is superb in acting and jokes aren't juvenile as hell, you probably won't see critics give it much credit.

Since it's not a comedy, so most of critics won't compare this movie to This Is The End.

That's funny because Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon are long, slow and boring.

Nah, but she'll serve the same role and get nothing to work either way. In the trailers it seemed like breath was fading aways when she said "you can't keep spending money on junk"

Surprised no one on here has seen an early screening of this yet.

Wow... I guess the robot mode design look more... "full" now? Lol
I remember people complaining they looked like insects/bionicles and you couldn't see where the leg or hands were

Not that I will miss the character but I do wonder how they address where Sam is now.

I don't know if they'll say exactly what happened, but they might reference him.

He spends his time wearing paper bags over his head and is in a mental institute.

I know! How dare there be human involvement on Earth! I guess humanity is just supposed to stand back and let them fight amongst themselves in our cities, huh? :whatever:

it could be done without the dumb humor we seen in the prior films

Yeah, they said they tried to make them more "solid" I guess, and apparently it makes animating them much simpler and more cost effective.

I think so. Doubt we'll have another 'Archibald Witwicky' story on our hands.
