Is the 165 minute run time noticeable, or does the pace of the film make it feel a little smoother? I'll still see it on Sunday, but I tend to get fidgety sitting in the one spot for too long.

VERY noticeable. Movie is at least an hour too long. If you love hundreds of random explosions though I guess it might go by quickly.

To Marvin. I honestly did not read your long, multiple paragraph reply (as I figured you to reply back that way). Enjoy the movie. I will be seeing it on friday for my own opinion.

That's a shame.
I can see how you would imagine me to reply back that way, given...the length and amount of paragraphs in the message(s) it was I was replying to.
I suppose I could have broken the equal back and forth with simply the very last part, for it's poignancy. You certainly don't have to read anything, just know, you weren't ignored for all your efforts:yay:

I'll try my best to enjoy the movie, given how much I'll be spending I'd be a fool not to.

I have not seen the film, but if there is one it will probably be a mid credit scene if anything. I do not think Bay does post credit scenes.

TF4 is the first TF movie where it would make 100% sense to have a post credit scene.

I was not following this but just went to RT today and holy bajesus, the critics have absolutely torn this film apart, like torn it limb for limb and then stomped over it and spit in its face.

Is it that horrible?

Didn't Bay and Wahlberg say this would be a great movie or something. But it seems they have another Razzie winner on hand it seems.

Ah Transformers movies.

Where everyone on the internet tears it to shreds and yet it seems everyone in my own life loves the movies to death.

Then they make tons of money.

It really is quite interesting.

I loved the first one, didn't like the last two....so we'll see with this one.

Not sure when I'll get to see it however with my work schedule coming up, plus that run time really limits squeezing it in....yikes.

Yes. I don't usually agree with critics but this time I do. I nearly fell asleep it was so boring.

It cant be as bad as Godzilla was

I was bored to tears with Godzilla, I won't be bored by this movie.

Whether it's terrible or not, I'll enjoy the boom booms at least, unlike Godzilla.

Every time I've gone to see one of these things opening weekend, the major showings were always sold out. Always. I suspect it'll be the same tomorrow, we had some downtime this past week with two non-blockbuster releases.

Oh yeah, these movies pack them in on opening weekend.

It's still an event, despite reviews.

Transformers: Age of Extinction' aims for $100-million opening weekend mark

Does Optimus get to fly again or is he grounded this time?

the problem is that the 3 guys lie all the time . they know the movies. they know the name of the robots, they know the name of the actors and they know the story. there was no reason to lie in front of the camera to not look like geeks.

I realy don't get what you mean in this part, sure, they probably grew up with the cartoons, but that doesn't mean they knew about all the single robots in the movies, where they are vastly different and more interchangeable.

And they aren't trying to not look like geeks, Jay watched the first half of the 3rd film, while Mike watched the 2nd half, that's why Mike made that lie about Megatron being in another body or something like that, and the others sort of believed it. Rich probably never watched all the films, and honestly, it was more interesting this way, us and them already know what to expect from this, as well as their thoughts on it.

So no, they don't exactly know the story or the characters, considering the quality of these movies i doubt they barely care about it.

Wait, this movie is 165 minutes? SERIOUSLY? I really doubt that Bay has enough actual story to justify a running time that bloated. So is this movie as meandering, all over the place, and full of pointless filler as ROTF and DOTM were? And holy crap, it has a lower RT rating than ROTF. I didn't think that that was possible.

It has a lower score because the critics know that they're not supposed to like this movie.

ROTF was coming off a well-liked first movie.

This is the first Transformers movie I wasnt able to watch in the cinema. I just dont know if I could endure a 17% RT Bay movie when I had a hard time enduring a 57% RT Bay movie.

It's easily the worst of the TF movies.

No wonder the critics are tearing it to pieces.

Godzilla a much better movie.

I wonder if, perhaps by removing the gratuitous T&A shots and the racist humour, Michael Bay is losing his fan base, leading to claims that this is worse than the other movies.
