Beast Wars are ******ed. Why would a robot machine transform into an animal? Are these advanced robots that ******ed to think that they need to transform into an animal? It defeats the purpose of a Transformer. If you are going to have Animal transformers, at least have them transform into interesting animals such as a porcupine, penguin, panda bear, whale, dolphin, house cat, goose, mouse, deer. Weren't all the Beast Wars transformers some type of aggresive animal?

The whole idea of Transformers were that they were trying to fit into society by transforming into common machines, even the Decepticons tried to fit into society - if they didn't care about fitting into human society, they would have stayed in their robot form. But they could have just walked up anywhere as robots and messed things up...The Beast Wars are at the same level as the Pretender transformer toys - the robots literally hiding in a human shell.

Robots in disguise. If you land on a planet with no civilization why would you disguise yourself as a car? Why not an animal. Beast Wars was set on prehistoric earth, no vechicles only animals. Also the pre-earth alt modes of the Preds/Max's were cars/vehicles. Though never shown Optimus Primals Cybertronian form was a monster truck, Megatron was a battle base, either Cheetor or Rattrap was a sports car. And they weren't all aggresive animals.

Now on the "more interesting animal" front.
-Break a penguin
-Stampy a rabbit
-Long rack a giraffe
-Corahda a king cobra

Porcupines, penguins, pandas, whales, dolphins, cats, geese, mooses, and deer aren't very interesting. Really, a penguin? cat? geese? WTF?

They needed to be animals because that was all there was to scan and they needed a beast mode because prolonged exposure to the large amounts of raw energon scattered around the planet would harm them.

In Beast Wars, they transformed into animals for their own survival. It made it more interesting because not everyone could transform into robot mode and fly away to chase Megatron.

Also the pre-earth alt modes of the Preds/Max's were cars/vehicles. Though never shown Optimus Primals Cybertronian form was a monster truck, Megatron was a battle base, either Cheetor or Rattrap was a sports car. And they weren't all aggresive animals.

They had it different for the Botcon. Here's the picture of the exclusives. Megatron, Primal, Cheetor, Rattrap, Waspinator, Dinobot, Rhinox, Tigertron, and Airrazor are in it. You can tell who is who.
