The mostly Japanese audience I watched this with really didn't get American humor. The only people laughing were the few fluent English speakers in the audience. That said... Optimus was, of course, the highlight of this film. Lots of eye candy... almost zero Autobot character development... but it was more entertaining for me than the first film.

My MAIN gripe is that it was waay too long. The desert scene dragged on and on and on and on and on and... OH... there's Jetfire. For the most part though, I liked it.

Yeah, that desert journey made Lawrence's odyssey through the sands of Arabia feel like a 22-minute travelogue.

That scene needed to be edited way shorter. I dont know WHAT could've been edited...but it just needed to be.

yeah, I will admit, that desert scen could have been shortened.

I saw the movie on Tuesday/Wednesday and I really enjoyed it,I don't think the movie lost it's novelty when it came to the transformations. I liked the story better and thought there was more good than bad,my main issues are that we never see Soundwave coming to earth and showing us himself in full robot mode, not alot of Autobots fighting Devastator,Sideswipe Jolt, and team Arcee not getting enough screen time, and the build up to the final battle being a bit too slow. I loved the the action and most of the humor, and thought this movie had plenty of things in it for everyone. As a movie it is good and as a Transformers sequel and movie it's great,I plan on seeing it again after work this Saturday. I thought the movie had enough story and I wasn't expecting a very thought provoking movie once again, before seeing the movie I spoiled myself alot once again and knew alot of spoilers prior to seeing the movie. I hope it makes enough money so we can get a threequel. And I will never ever understand the excessive dislike/hate for this movie,it's insane imo. Oh,and I think a bit of the build up to the final battle should of been edited out.

I laugh at Bumblebee and the parents, I shake my head at the Twins, when I see a hairy man ass and giant testicles dangling in the wind.

So the rumors about John Turturro's butt are true?:cmad: What exactly is Turturro doing in the scene? Is he mooning someone?

Well, at least I'm prepared for the scene.

Did the twins die? Is this another case of the "black robots" dying?

I disliked this movie. The only part I really liked was the forest scene. And I even enjoyed the first one. But it seems what they did hear with this movie was that they took the flaws from the first one and not only did they not fix those flaws, but actually build on them even more. I haven't read the other reviews here but it was a little hard to appreciate the action and effects when the camera was so close to the action. I couldn't enjoy it since Michael Bay was giving these action scenes no room to breathe on screen. And I saw this in IMAX and really think Bay handeled the technology very poorly. He chose odd moments in the film to utilize the camera. I even noticed one shot that was in IMAX where it was just guy signaling for jet to take off. But the forest scene was definitely a great time to use it. I could of wrote a more thought out review but I didn't feel like it. There were positive things in this film, but the negative far outweighs the bad here. Oh well.

I loved it. Seriously, why are the critics being such tightasses over this?

I enjoyed this film for the little things that add a bit more realism to the movie. For example I liked how when Alice was strangling Sam from acrss the room and Mikela figured out Alice was not human she threw the box with Wheelie in it, the only big thing she had in her hand, and completely missed. It was a definate knee jerk response to throw something quickly and still miss.

The Megatron/Starscream dynamic

The Fallen seemed lazy and it kinda fit. It seemed he was just fine lying around in the decepticon base then seemed a bit unmotivated to move when the last Prime was offline. It was to me a "Man now I have to get up and do something" sort of thing.

Overall I thought the movie was entertaining and it drew me in. Will it win any oscars - NO but it was a nice ride to take anyway.

I enjoyed it for what it was. a robot movie. I mean really, why are so many people looking for real-life logic in **** that isn't going to happen? If you want that, go watch terminator.

So you prefer ****** movie that has action over a good movie that has action? I don't want it to be logical or whatever, but I'd prefer it if the director and writers could make a coherent movie without tasteless humor which isn't even funny.

No. They unceremoniously disappear from the film without mention. Better?
they didnt disappear. they defeated devastator. then at the end they were on teh ship like everyone. but they were not important for that part of the story so they didnt show them.

The Twins... defeating Devastator... why couldn't they just die?

I thought the movie was a horrendous piece of garbage.

Though to be fair, I will never bother to see it.

^Okay?

Did they defeat Devastator? I mean from my memory, we saw them fighting it then when we cut back later on, Devastator is climbing up the pyramid...neither of the twins in sight.

ohhhhhhhh forgot. must watch the movie again. yeah they didnt defeat him.

my whole theater was having a great time when they were on screen. if its the same all over the the world then they will stay.

Well, they came out of the fight alive and messed up Devastator's face pretty bad. I was disappointed with Devastator's role, his only purpose was to dig out the machine inside the pyramid. It would've been better if they reduced the Decepticon army by half and used Devastator as the Main enemy and the Autobots all have to team up.

So did Shia, the Parents, Bumbelbee, Wheelie and any other forced joke. The Twins were just overkill. There are enough laughs to break up the Tension. The balance was just off. It was like everytime the mood is too gloomy or serious, they need to throw in some stupid joke. And let's highlight it twice, like the humping dogs, because the people probably didn't get it the first time.

Nathan you always remind me what i didnt like in ROTF.
i hate you :cmad:

joking. yeah devastator was not used in the best way . remember guys months before the movie when we thought that the Fallen calls the devastator because he was defeated and that OP would then with jetfire fight the devastator?

There was some stuff that I really thought would be different. Especially when I saw some of the gameplay vids, I thought at least Optimus would fight Devastator once. Most disappointing though has to be the Fallen, after all the build up and showing him in egypt, I always assumed he would be entombed like a Pharao and the Decepticons would be looking for him. Instead he was chillling all the time on the Decepticon Spacecraft and is a lazy wuss.
