I agree. After hearing Welker doing Megatron's voice again in the new game I don't know why Hugo Weaving got the role for the movie. I loved Franks voice 20 years ago and I still think he is the only one to do Megatron's voice.

Since I watched Beast Wars, David Kaye was the definite Megatron voice for me. Welker just sounds like a grumpy old man as Megatron.

It maybe fit the G1 Megs, but now that he looks like he'd rip out your throat the moment you give him a wrong glance, it sounds totally out of place.

I hated Megatron's voice in the cartoon, but loved Galvatron's voice, it was such a good fit for Megatron! However, I like what they did with Megatron's voice in the game. It sounds just like Megatron's G1 voice with a little less "distortion" and a bit more "mechanization". It sounds awesome! (Even if I preferred the Unicron trilogy and Beast Wars trilogy voice for Megatron)

Oh, and yeah, that's ingame. It kinda looks like Sonic the Hedgehog on PS3 and 360.

I been playing the Transformers Autobots on the DS and its really cool. You hear the voices of the characters. Barricade's voice is by Keith David and he sounded great. Too bad he didn't do the voice for the movie.

Hugo Weaving got the role for Megatron because his voice fit the new alien styled look for Megatron.

Frank Welkers didn't.

Hey guys, if any of you have an xbox 360 and can get online with a high speed connection, I suggest you do so. Because they have 4 videos in HD for free that you can download. They have the opening cinematics, interview with Shia Lebouf, an interview with Megan Fox and an interview with one of the game developers. Each interview shows new footage, and it looks absolutely amazing. I wish that I had the ability to show you guys on here, but maybe someone else will. If this has already been posted then I appologize.

I'm picking up my Wii version Tuesday. I think I'll play through as the Decepticons initially to keep my movie spoilers to a minimum. If I remember correctly, their storyline doesn't follow the movie.
