I hate Bay as much as the next guy, but if ever there was material made for him, it's this. I love transormers, and they crafted a pretty nice mythology for them, but deep it aint.Matt said:Looks like typical Bay to me, tons of explosions, very little substance. Then again, its a movie based on an 80s cartoon with robots that turn into vehicles...I'm sooo conflicted over this movie. And on another side, its produced by Spielberg....I DON'T KNOW!
on the contrary....the screenwriters are one of the reasons why the movie is as faithful to the cartoon as it is (though that's not saying much). if the script were in the hands of different screenwriters, it would've potentially turned out to be a TOTALLY different monster...DACrowe said:P.S.
I just read (in this forum) the same screenwriter of Catwoman, The Island (another movie with a lot of potential that sucked) and MIIII (which I thought was mediocre, with some nice actin g and direction but another boring pointless plot and star vehicle) collaborated for this.
It be doomed, indeed.
