French director Pierre (District B13) Morel's second movie Taken won't be released in the United States until next January, but he's already at work on his third film, the thriller From Paris with Love, which will be headlined by John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, according to Variety.

Written by prolific French producer Luc Besson and Adi Hasak, the film is about a young embassy worker and an American secret agent who cross paths while working on a high-risk mission in Paris. The $55 million thriller already been shooting in the suburbs of Paris and will continue shooting for the next 11 weeks.

I like both actors and the director seems to be on his way up.

This could work well. I haven't seen Taken, but i am sure it's a very good thriller and would prove the director's potential.

Sounds interesting so far. I loved Taken, and anything by Besson is gold as far as I'm concerned.

Yeh!

Travolta and Cage should do a sequel to Face Off.

They could call it Hair Off.

They could both be bald, exchange wigs to confuse everyone, and then dive about on the floor shooting in a highly tense action sequence that takes place in a wig factory where Cage's character is making poor foreign children labour at illegal wage rates.

You heard it here first.

This is gold! :woot:

So, how long until people start suggesting Travolta for Lex Luthor or Professor X?

Man, that trailer they put up is DTV quality, here's hoping they put out something better soon.

it was really DTV. lets hope that it was a fast edited and cheap trailer.

The footage didn't even look like it had gone through post.

Not a big fan of Travolta these days, but Rhys-Meyers is pretty cool, and also underrated. Besides, Taken kicked so much ass that I HAVE to give this a chance.

A pretty cool NSFW trailer is over at /film.
