Troll: The Rise of Harry Potter Jr.

No way this doesn't get shutdown imo.

Obviously trying to cash in / stir up publicity.
Not so sure about it getting shut down, though. This did come first.
At the most, maybe a title change?
They HAVE to know they're stirring up trouble here, lol.

Never knew the Troll character was named Harry Potter. :funny:

The hero kid character is Harry Potter Jr and his dad is Harry Potter Sr. The film predates JK Rowling's book by 11 years. Not sure if that will be able to hold up in court, but who knows.

Neither did I, lol. But yeah, they know they're about to stir up some ****, and they probably think that attention will help in the long run.

Yeah, this is happening. Troll was made so long ago. The publicity is all the film will need to make a couple of bucks at least.

If anything I'm surprised the makers didn't go after Rowling at some point to try to get some paper?

Like I said, Troll came first. Not sure how they could possibly lose. Unless the court case is based on a popularity contest, facts are facts.

Lmao.

WB can't do squat.

There's a porn star named Siri and since she can prove she acquired the name before Apple, they can't mess with her, lol.

Yes, TROLL did come first and they did take HARRY POTTER to court, but instead of asking for millions all they wanted was permission to do a remake and use the HP names with no legal hassle - not the best deal I would think...

I don't know why this movie wasn't getting made before 2011. Talk about wasted potential. This could have been Sharknado before Sharknado.

:down

While they can definite use the name in the film there very well may be licensing issues when it comes to using it in the title and advertising.
