Wow. I take it back. That's even tackier than the Marriott promotion. It'd be like if Marriott had a special only on Room 911s.

Ah, it's nice to see that the tolerance level on the Hype is still as low as ever.

Tolerance of what? Adult men obsessed with content aimed only at young girls? Yeah, I don't plan on ever accepting something that screams the worst kind of creepy.

Aww, since this is like your third post with actual text in it, I'm flattered! But I didn't probate you... you may want to love up on another redshirt. :csad:

I agree with Bamfer. The renewed obsession among adults into My Little Pony culture is a bit creepy. If you like it, fair enough. These boards have all sorts of fandoms. But I do reserve the right to mock that particular fandom.

The theater I work at had a screening of equestrian girls when it was out...there was a group of like 20 bronies. I'm assuming they were from a chat room or something, at first it was kind of hilarious, especially when this kid came up with his dad. The dads face when he had to say what ticket he was buying...anyway it became sad when the show sold out after which then a bunch of moms and their daughters came in asking for tickets. The little girls were so disappointed :(

I don't want to judge the... Uh, is Brony the actual term? It is? Dear Zod! Anyway...

I don't want to judge the Bronies... But I have and will continue too.

Those judgements range from "Irony has it's limits" to "It's actually not a well written children's program, so what's this REALLY all about?" The existence of "Cloppers", internet rules aside, doesn't help.

I've bought my daughters every issue of the My Little Pony comic. They love it, and I keep telling myself that I should read it to share in their enjoyment... to talk with them about it like I used to talk to friends about Spider-Man and X-Men when I was a kid.

Wow, how charitable of them. A whole "mini-muffin" and some leftover coffee grinds. And timing it just for when the planes hit. That's not tacky at all! Seriously, why even bother? Someone not only had to conceive this, but someone else had to green-light it and think "this is a respectful tribute."
Is it worse that their logo looks like twin leaning towers on cushion?

Buy them the TMNT comic. Girls love TMNT. They think Donnie is cute or something...

I'm not a brony but MLP actually has a lot of surprisingly adult-male oriented things going for it (particularly character development, teamwork, cooperation, camaraderie and other things instilled in the military [hence a veteran angle] not to mention fighting and humor, or so Cracked has told me). It's bizarre but mostly harmless.

People are into all sorts of things. I've never quite understood the Brony obsession, and I've never understood people obsessed with Salt and Pepper shakers either. But whatever floats your boat.

They represent duality and equality. Or things that go really well together. No one insults the salt and pepper shakers.

I ain't a Brony.

It was all about this when I was 5.
