The Dark Knight Two-Suits???

Half and Half

  • Yes – Has to be half and half.

  • No- Tommy Lee ruined the half and half. Take him to The Mens Warehouse.

  • Doesn’t matter as long as his face is scared and he has a coin.

How about this type of suit?

:oldrazz:

I actually digg this.

Nolan had Scarecrow wearing a suit most of the time and has (apparently) done away with one of the greatest villain origins of all time in The Joker, so I wouldn't put much hope in him keeping with tradition when it comes to the suit.

Yeah, as I said earlier.

I want him to have the half suit but the more I think about it, the more I think it's unlikely. In Begins, Scarecrow wore nothing but the potato sack and a normal suit and Ra's only wore a normal suit too, he didn't have the green cape. To me, it comes across as Nolan is trying to make the villains as visually simplistic as possible but put more depth into the characterizations.

Actually, Ra's did have the green cape and flower, sort of. The part at the party where the woman (I could swear that's Bob Kane's wife) introduces Bruce to "Mr. Ra's Al Ghul", and it's another asian decoy. He's got the traditional Ra's look, green cape and all (except, of course, he's Asian).

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Ken had the green cape too. But they were just decoys. The real Ra's doesn't operate and seek world domination while operating a green cape.

Another example is Joker. In this film, he does wear purple, but it's dark purple and a trench coat and I highly doubt he will be wearing a different flamboyant suit in every other scene like Nicholson. Nolan's approach is, don't make the villains appear over the top.

If he doesn't want over the top, he shouldn't be directing Batman movies. That said, I prefer Nolan's vision to Schumacher's.

I'd like a little acid stain on his left collar and shoulder.

I'm really liking Nolan's approach. He can ground all of these over the top characters into a sense of the real world. The difference is when an audience watches a Christopher Nolan Batman film, they come out thinking "wow, all of that is actually plausible or at least seems that way", they watch a Schumacher bat-film and the response is, "wtf was that".

can someone post that tommy lee jones costume test pic where he's wearing that red and black suit? that actually wasn't too bad and was worlds beyond what they wound up using.

as others have said, I don't want to see him suddenly have a half-and-half suit in TDK, but when he's a full-fledged villain in the next movie, I'd love to see him fully embrace his new persona with a half-and-half suit of some sort.

I like the suit. I like the idea of having the suit he's scarred in become half-and-half with the bloodstains and acid burns and whatnot. But I don't think it would be unrealistic for him to eventually get a tailored one. Sure you don't really see them too often, but Two-Face is exactly the kind of person who would do such a flamboyant thing. His obsession with the number two, and with halves, would drive him to do it.

Speaking of the Scarecrow's mask in BB, which was brought up earlier, was it indeed just a sack? I seem to remember seeing some sort of black rubber apparatus in there, like a gas mask to protect him from his fear gas.

Why? Why Schumacher...why? WHY PURPLE?

And the purple mullet is too ridiculous.

the saddest part is Rick Baker provided a really interesting scarring prosthetic that's completely pissed on by the painting of it. the flat, ridiculous color completely destroys the depth and lines in the make-up.

I agree. It's really well done, I like the detail, such things as veins and lines throughout, as you said, the barney purple ruined everything.

I don't really think so. Two-Face tends to be one of Batman's more subdued villains, as opposed to villains like the Joker who are wild and theatrical.

I always thought of the riddler as one too, Jim carrey ruined it.

one way they could do the pinstripes idea is have his right (harvey) side grey with black pinstripes which gradually become thicker until the left (two-face) side is black with grey pinstripes

the zebra effect
