Wait, I'm very much out of it? Are Reed and Sue no longer together? There's something going on between Ben and Sue?

They seperated after the Ultimatum cluster****. And nothing is happening with Ben and Sue yet. Based on Sue's reaction I doubt there will be.

Here's an Ultimate X review: 3.5/5 score. The critic refers it to be in tune with Superman story that Loeb+Sale did, he says it's not much of a superhero book and the issue is all about Jimmy Hudson. Makes it wonder how all these title characters will eventually meet up and whatnot. Art gets praised and so forth.

So yeah if some people here we're getting it this week. Hope you guys won't be disappointed!

yeah but when was the last time you've seen Ben open up like that? The only time I can think of was in the Super Skrull arc when he admitted to Johnny about trying to kill himself. And like he said in the issue he would never have said anything because he would never screw over Reed like that when they were still dating.

Sue and Ben have little in common and nothing in the previous stories indicated that Sue ever seemed to do anything to get Ben to fall in love with her except I guess being nice.

The state of mind Ben was in thats all it would take.

ive been i a similar state of mind wer the smallest little gesture=crush/mutual feelings beyond freindship

Plus, you know, she's hot.

And whose to say she wouldn't be curious about what an orange rock wang looks like?

Because I know everything!!!....except that which I don't

Jeph Loeb interview on Ultimate X!

- The theme of the serie is: Hope
- Team-roster plays homage to the Original X-Men team.
- Character driven. Recommended if you liked Loeb's Spider-Man: Blue, DD: Yellow & Superman For all Seasons.
- Karen (Black haired Lady) has a secret.
- The character with wings is "dangerous" guess he's a furious guy? =o
- Firegirl is very afraid. No confirm whenever or not she's Liz Allen, most likely is?
- First 5 issues is all about the introduction of these characters. You will see how the pacing goes.
- No headquarters, no superhero costumes or any mansion to live on.
- Will face super villains at times.
- Goverment is hunting down mutants to make them register.
- Story is about the struggles of life and as mentioned: hope is the theme and this is a story about these peoples lives.
- Hulk was a necessary character. I personally belief he'll take the mentor role since Bruce Banner is the only adult character of the roster.

lol yeah as in I hope this is better than his last cluster****.

Hmm yeah I can see it alittle. Plus someone here (can't remember) has already mentioned this.

Funny considering that was some of the last good stories Loeb released. :whatever:

Yeah thanks for not telling us anything of worth Loeb. :whatever:

- Firegirl is very afraid. No confirm whenever or not she's Liz Allen, most likely is?
Man that better be Liz. It'd be utterly ******ed to make another flamethrower when you already have two with the exact same powers.

- Loeb didn't choose these characters, he was "told".
Hmph yeah I'm sure thats the case. :whatever:

- Will face super villains at times.
lol well I'd certainly hope so considering this is a superhero comic. :awesome:

- Goverment is hunting down mutants to make them register.
Standard X-Men plot okay.

- Hulk was a necessary character. I personally belief he'll take the mentor role since Bruce Banner is the only adult character of the roster.
Yeah lets make the crazy violent monster that will eat (among other things) anyone that gets in his way the mentor of this group.

Sounds good to me! :D I liked all those other Loeb/Sale books.

Too bad the Loeb that wrote those is long gone.

Hmph yeah I'm sure thats the case. :whatever:

Actually yeah i misread it and missed the joke. He chose them indeed lol, BUT what i also forgot to mention was the biggest thing he ever said. He said this comic was going to be *loyal* to the Ultimate Universe and the past comics... Now that sounds like a huge promise from him and i'm still skeptical on reading that.

Anyhow CBR gives Ultimate X 4.5/5 review

Just read Ult X #1 and I gotta admit it was pretty good. An awesome first step in the story.

I liked it also myself. It was a great opener. What was weak was the preview for Ultimates 2 in the back. It just seemed very weak to me and I have a feeling I am not going to like it. :(

Yeah I didn't much care for that preview. Seriously why is Tony suited up in [blackout]War Machine armor[/blackout]? But aside from that Ult X was kickass. If the future issues are like this than I'll stay along for the ride.

So, whats the first issue about? Is it something I should pick up?

Did you like Ultimate X-Men and the mutant aspect of Ultimatum? If so than I'd say yeah its something you should pick up. If you didn't than its a pass.

I liked Ultimate X-Men to a point, about the same point for Ultimate Spider-man too.
I liked X-men until hmm, not sure when I stopped but I think it was around the Hellfire Club and the phoenix and the return of Magneto maybe.
and I skimmed some of ultimatum and did not like it.
