Well, the zombies didn't happen there. They happened during the crossover arc. They are from a different universe that is made up of zombie versions of the 616 heroes. The only nonzombies are Magneto and a few civilians.

I actually Jae Lee's art can be pretty affective in the proper genre. Horror...something dark like that. But definitely not the FF. IMO.

Reed in Doom's body went into the building and disposed of them one by one. The first to fall was Human Torch, he covered him in something that I think was liquid metal. He simply spit it on him. The 2nd to go was the Thing, got his arm ripped off and smashed to pieces. Then he used a Mystic spell to decay Invisible Woman's flesh even further. And lastly he cooked up something special for Reed, with another spell he got eaten from the inside by maggots.

I still don't get how Doom did that to Ben. Maybe zombies are more brittle.

Anyway, did Doom take that parasite into himself? It hopped into his chestplate but I don't get what happens after that.

Damn, the Millar/Land run was so freaking great. I'm still torn on if I'm going to continue collecting the series now after there gone. That team was what got me onboard in the first place. It's really a shame to see them go right now especially with the great rythem they had through out there run.

Ah well, great 12 issue run from start to finish. Loved it.

I didn't recognise them either. Also didn't dig the art, the writing was a little flat at first and I had no idea what the hell was going on for the first 2 thirds of the issue. But hey, it's the start of the arc, so I'm sure it'll pick up.

Anyways, from Wikipedia:
Marvel Previews lists the creators of issues #33-38 as Mike Carey and Pasqual Ferry. Carey revealed in an interview that the story would feature the ultimate versions of Ronan the Accuser, Thanos, and a new villain called "Gallowglass."

Best two issues I have ever read of Ult. F4 is the ending of the President Thor arc where Thing outsmarts the Skrulls and beats the **** outta them...

and then the ending of the Return of Doom/Firghtful Four arc...

Sorry if this was addressed already but, when Doom in Reeds body expelled the demon from Johnny, misinterpreted the words, caused it to search for the most powerful body (if i recall correctly) more specifically Thor and finally went to Reed in Dooms body... Does that mean either Reed or Doom is more powerful than Thor? I got the impression the demon was in search for the most powerful and able "shell", not mind cause i couldnt see it wanting Reed over Doom. So does that mean Doom is the most powerful and phsyical being on Earth in the Ultimate universe? The demon went straight for Doom and shot passed Thor.

So I'm still not understanding what the hell is going on in this arc. All the characters seem to be talking in some vernacular that should be open to me, but I really don't seem to be following what the hell is really happening. Yeah, so we have Seed 19 on Earth, they are followed by some enemies, but what is really going on? Maybe it's the bottle of wine in my bloodstream talking, but I'm still not able to get into this arc.

I feel like I've wandered into a movie that's already introduced the characters and set-up the story and I'm trying to pick up on what's going down.

Yeah, I didn't care much for the story or the art. The story might get better but Ferry's art seems a little...bland.

BTW, Orko, about your avatar. That looks an awful lot like Topher Grace tranforming into Venom. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not too sure I like the look if it is Venom.
