Ultimate Hulk

Just recently I started reading the Ultimates. I love the series, but once I got to the part where Banner became the Hulk, things got weird. Hulk shouted very strange things, like how he was horny and doing things to Betty. There was even a part where Wasp had to distract him, by showing him her boobs.

Can someone explain this to me?

Well the Hulk is simple minded and very primitive. The guy wanted to **** Betty.

Basically, Millar reimagined the childlike, simple-minded Hulk we're all familiar with from the older comics into a Hulk who's Banner's id. He's horny, cannibalistic, and obnoxious.

Yeah all the negative attention he got from everyone else didn't help either.

I thought it was just the darker side of Bruce's personality and just a combo of Gray Hulk/Joe Fixit/Gravage Hulk and the Green Savage Hulk.

None of those personalities were cannibals or attempted rapists.

Yeah, I love a lot of aspects of Ult. Hulk, but the cannibalism and sexual stuff was too far and just plain unpleasant to read.

Overall Ultimates I and II are still two of the best comic arcs ever imo.

Ultimate Avengers has been great aswell so far. Slow start but the 1st arc as it the title says "the next generation" is pretty much the introduction to the new heroes and villains. Can't wait to see the African-American Hulk! He's basicly like Stephen King kind of guy who cured his physical disabilities by making himself the Hulk. =D He's Bruce Banner's mentor and pretty much nobody knows about him, heh. Tho he gets recruited to the Avengers in the 2nd arc.
