Short profiles on Doc Ock, Doctor Doom, The Trapster, and Venom.

I know the picture of Doc Ock doesn't show much, but he looks awful. The rest of him could potentially be even worse. I am glad we're getting a twist on the character, but the look itself is weird. He looks more like Morbius than Ock. And he's going to be voiced by Tom Kenny? I would never match his voice to that picture. I guess we'll have to see.

Venom is just meh. Not much to say there.

I love Venom's design from everything we've seen, and that glimpse of what I assume is his final transformation in the commercial is the best looking Venom ever in a cartoon easily. Dr. Doom looks cool, always enjoy seeing him fight Spidey.

And Doc Ock: it's a departure from the classic interpretation of the character, but we've seen that done before and very well (especially in TSSM). It's not Ultimate Ock at all, which I would have liked to see.. Much closer to Ock's current state in the comics where he's dying and his body is pretty much useless as well. Don't like him serving Osborn though, that's lame.

New trailer. The animation is beautiful, especially at night. Drake Bell sounds better than I originally thought. I just wish I had never seen Drake and Josh because I keep picturing his face, like I do when I hear Neil Patrick Harris as Spidey. Otherwise, I don't want to repeat what people have already said about the Spidey tech and S.H.I.E.L.D.

That kind of thing isn't a problem for me. Since Denis Leary is playing George Stacy in TASM, I know I'm automatically going to think of Diego from the Ice Age movies when I hear him, but that won't lessen my enjoyment of the movie.

I love the new trailer for Ultimate Spider-Man, but I'm not a fan of the Iron Spidey outfit (even in the comics) I wish they would just let Spider-Man be Spider-Man and let Iron Man be Iron Man.

Spider-Man shouldn't be flying around shooting repulsor blasts, that kind of takes away from what makes him "Spidey".

I am still very much on the fence about this show. It looks alright I guess.

eeeeEEeeEeehhhhhhhhh I know for a fact this will nowhere near be as awesome as The Spectacular Spider-Man, but i'll give i a shot

This show may be trying to do too much. But then they obviously want to put some distance between themselves and the Spectacular Spider-man.

If this series ends up being rejected by the majority of fans, then I will use this in any argument going forward against people who want Spidey's rights to be returned to Disney. Spectacular was produced at Sony after all.

I am looking forward to this but wonder just how much the Shield tech will be involved. Is it just part of the early Shield training which he eventually abandons, or is this going to be a strong thread throughout the series? Will we get down time in Spidey's world or will Disney milk this to extremes because they can't do it in the MCU?

Love the animation. I think we can agree that from that perspective Spidey has never looked better.

I'm not too thrilled about Shield being so heavily involved in a Spidey show, but the animation does look quite awesome (much better than A:EMH's).

It was also quite funny that Iron Man looks FAR better in this show than he does in the Avengers.

Venom looks amazing here, his best animated design by far, but pretty crappy everywhere else in the promos and his profile. i hate the tentacle stuff, leave that to carnage

I agree

Yep! Doctor Octopus does in fact look even worse than I thought he would. Venom looks nearly perfect. The head on the spider seem more rectangular/ovular than I'm used to. It's a minor gripe that hardly matters. I wonder what Green Goblin looks like. After seeing Doc Ock's design, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for him. I'm sure they'll use Hulk Goblin, but I hope they make it at least tolerable.

Agreed. That's the one thing about EMH that irks me. The animation isn't bad, but it desereves better.

I actually like the Ock design. Not the classic look but I don't mind different interpretations at times. I know I'll hate the Green Goblin because I hate Hulk-Goblin. Venom looks great although the producer has said the symbiote evolves into different versions throughout the show.

What specifically do you like about the Ock design, if you don't mind me asking?
I hate Hulk-Goblin, too. I just hope his design isn't worse than it needs to be. The Venom design on the website looks like it would be a final design, doesn't it? Whereas in the trailers he lacks a spider symbol and white teeth, and he has tentacles flailing around wildly. I wonder if it will evolve beyond the design on the website because I don't see how it can.

I like the scummy griminess of the look. Like some self-absorbed lab rat with the unkempt hair (too long). I like the slouched posture - looks like a guy so obsessed with his work and experiments that he never leaves the lab to go outside (thus the pallid complexion). It adds a level of creepiness to the character with those sickly tentacles.

I would agree that I don't think Venom will evolve beyond that design. The trailer stuff is most likely Venom in one of the stages. We'll see.
