Heidi left before that, I believe.

The way they characterized their relationship, it could have dealt with one wig out on their kids. It could have dealt with a few months separation. Breaking them up was bad characterization, and the reasons for it are myriad, and dumb. Lets not spend any more time thinking about it.

Breaking them up was bad? What was Heidi suppose to do?

Nathan got all depressed because he thought Peter was dead, lost his senate position, then became an alcoholic and started living in his brothers apartment.

Not something you'd want to keep two young boys around, no?

did you guys forget that while Heidi was in the wheelchair, Nathan cheated on her............

THE WRITERS OF HEROES SUCK

Those would all be relevant points if Heidi had left after that happened.

If you think about it, none of us should be surprised by how invincible Sylar is. In one of the early episodes he used his power in a room that was supposed to render him powerless, and pulled Eden through the glass. I guess that was a big hint that he was going to be the exception to the rule. Anyways, how the hell did Sylar pull that off?
She turned it off so she could tell him with her power to kill himself.

Why hasn't anybody (hero or villain) gotten the bright idea to look for the Haitian?

I hated seeing her go:csad:

Okay. Then maybe I just misunderstood how that holding cell worked. Regardless, Sylar is approaching Rasputin status.

O) How did the holding cell in Season 1 work? Was it 'powered' by the Haitian's presence and detainees were just knocked out while he was gone? Did they give Sylar the pill? Did it work while the Haitian was gone because detainees simply didn't try? Was it considered 'strong enough' to hold Sylar? Was there some unknown never seen since power-stopping tech?

I don't know. I thought HRG told Sylar that the room made him powerless, but it has been so long that I can't remember.

Speaking of the Haitian.......He seems to be part of the formula to "save the day" each volume. Hell, Angela made Peter and Nathan go find him so they could stop Arthur. So why wouldn't she send Peter to touch the Haitian and borrow his power so he could neutralize Sylar? Of course, Sylar would probably end up being too strong for this.

I don't know. I thought HRG told Sylar that the room made him powerless, but it has been so long that I can't remember.

Yes, Noah told him he would not be able to use his powers while he was locked up in that room.

Someone just needs to take out Sylar, Claire, and stop writing Hiro like a happy childlike Anime stereotype, and make him the bad@$$ we seen in Season 1.

There are five things that I believe would have fixed heroes going into season 2

1) Death of Sylar
2) Death of Matt
3) Death of Nathan
4) Capture of Claire by the Company
5) Death of Ando (or any other reason to stop Hiro from being childlike, even if he stays Noble)

If these things had happened, so many other issues would automatically have been taken care of.

And the death of Matt would have improved or changed what? Other then the fact that you don't like him?

Matt's pretty much been the only character since season two who's story arc and character development has gone some great places since he first came on the scene. He's moved up the ranks as one of my favorite characters currently on the show.

Did I say that I didn't like Matt?

Matt's been dead weight since season 2 started. He was kept on because the writers like the actor, so even though his S1 storyline was over, they made up a brand new storyline which was completely unrelated and led us only to hypocritical daddy issues and the Nightmare Man, an expendable villain. Keep in mind this only distracted and took development time from the main plot, which suffered because of this inexplicable need to service Matt Parkman.

And my other problem with them giving Matt was the way they empowered him. They ignored the careful balance made between telepathic abilities, and the great respect the show had for the human mind and made him a full out telepath. The problem with that is that it leaves with an endless array of 'why didn't Matt just' moments, where the only reason that the plot continues is because Matt forgets about his power. I mean, honestly, why is Matt waving guns around when he can make Danko do whatever he wants? Why would I need to waste any time asking Usutu questions when I can get it all immediately?

Did I mention that the whole Daphne thing, which was all that came from the spirit walk, was yet another brand new unrelated go-nowhere storyline?

Matt. Is. Dead. Weight.

And the time, that the writing staff spends making sure his go-nowhere storylines are, as you put it, "the only character since season two who's story arc and character development has gone some great places" -- should be time spent turning "annoying" characters who are actually important to the story: Claire, Maya, etc, into characters that have great character development. Every minute spent on Matt makes the show as a whole worse. That is my logic, that is my conclusion. Feel free to examine or cross examine the logic therein.

But I like Matt, for some of the same reasons you do. His storyline and character development being enjoyable in isolation doesn't change the fact that he's weighing the show down and making it worse on the whole.

What are some unanswered questions you would like to know regarding Heroes?

4) Kaito's power damnit! :cmad:

Apparently Kaitos power was prediction of probabilities, which would help alot with making a huge business if you could see the outcomes beforehand for any mergers/new products

That was a deleted scene, if I remember right and the producers later teased that because of that it is non-canon.

1) Why is it Pete was not psychic until he met Parkman, when he spent so much time with Charles Deveaux?

Well it wasn't about Peter spending time with people, its about him developing his powers and realizing them. He was barely able to scribble a picture when we met him through Isaac, so his empathy you can say was not developed at all when he was with Charles Deveaux.

ok. i'm going to try and answer some of these questions

1. charles devoux had his power taken away by arthur. we know this due to the fact that arthur had telepathy while maury parkman did. so we know it didn't come from him. and charles never used his power

2. peter saw him due to his mothers power. it was in a dream. we have seen angela do similar things several times.

3. sylar is not a true empath. he still has to look into the persons head to figure out how to access the power. hence why he poked around the brain to find the right part that let these people do what they do.

4. it has been stated that katio's power is knowing every possible outcome of situations. which is why he was so successfull at buisness.

5. sylar survived due to candice. who was not a shapeshifter, but could change everything around people to make them see what she wanted to see. she simply didn't let them see her when she took sylars body.

6. peter lost his hunger when he lost his powers.

7. nathan surviving shock waves of a nuke?? well thats just because its sci-fi and its television, deal with it.

8. as far as matt not killing people, murder and self defense are two diffrent things. when he was a cop, it was probably self defense.

9. how can tracy do anything if her brain is made of ice?? how can any of the heroes do anything they do. its t.v. and sci-fi. again, deal with it.

10. sylar never lost his empathy because he never truely had it. he still has intuitive apptitude, he still has to look in a persons head, either through the eyes or with the whole brain opening thing to find out how to access their power.

hope this helps!

I'm sure this was explained in the show, but why did Mohinder stopped mutating and still kept his superstrength?

Because he was bathed in the correctly-made version of the formula at the end of volume 3.

So that gooey red stuff was the formula. They really blew it on that one :(
